Mass Additions of http://.historicwings.com

This is the only warning that you will receive regarding your disruptive edits. Your recent insertion of spam, commercial content, and/or links is prohibited under policy. Any further spamming may result in your account and/or your IP address being blocked from editing without further notice. --Hu12 (talk) 18:38, 4 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hu12 -- Today you issued me a warning to post what you call "spam" into Wikipedia. Let me understand just what constitutes spam. If I have an article that is directly on point to the Wikipedia page and I add it to the External Links section, why is that wrong? What am I missing here? For example if I write a story with in depth research on the Fiat G.55 aircraft. Why would it be wrong to include it in the External Links section on that page -- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiat_G.55 -- can you tell me?

What you write above makes no sense because it would mean that more properly nobody should be allowed to publish any links in the External Links category, even if the content is DIRECTLY on point to the Wiki article.

I request you consider this and amend your comment. It would constitute spam if I were to post an advertisement about some product or service that I was trying to sell into places where there is no relationship to the content. I am not a commercial business and the links posted are 100% accurate to the pages onto which I've posted.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Tvanhare (talkcontribs) 18:58, 4 November 2012‎

First;
"I publish a website called HistoricWings.com..." -- Tvanhare, 15 September 2012
I'll repeat what I've stated on my page;
Unfortunatly the External links policy on Advertising and conflicts of interest states You should avoid linking to a website that you own, maintain or represent, and in this case, its your website. Your conflict of interest editing involves contributing to Wikipedia in order to promote historicwings.com. Such a conflict is strongly discouraged. Your contributions to wikipedia under Tvanhare and IP 46.195.187.120, consist mainly of adding external links to historicwings.com and is considered WP:LINKSPAM. Looking through your contributions as a whole, the all seem to be historicwings.com related only. It has become apparent that your account and IP are only being used for self-promotion. Since your site is also an Adsense site you have a financial connection to this topic, See "public relations, and marketing". Wikipedia is NOT a "repository of links" or a "vehicle for advertising". Equally Wikipedia is not a place to to promote your site.
--Hu12 (talk) 19:28, 4 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

First it is not an "Adsense" site, whatever that means. Second, I am an expert in aviation so of course I would submit on the topic of aviation. If you want me to submit on the topic of civil engineering instead, I have to say I have nothing to add. If you want those of us who are experts in a topic to not participate, then this is the best way to do it. Is that your goal? What you're writing makes no sense. I don't make a living off of Historic Wings -- that isn't why I publish it. I publish because I'm adding to the knowledge and information available online about aviation history. I've been doing this for 15 years and have never encountered anyone who wasn't anything but thankful for the amount of effort and research I put into it. I have to say, I don't understand your point -- I am surprised you would call what I do spam. It makes no sense, seriously. You might want to think it through a bit before you make such a hasty conclusion.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Tvanhare (talkcontribs) 20:11, 4 November 2012‎

You've edited 48 articles on Wikipedia. You've added your website to 47 of them. It doesn't take an expert to see that the bigger picture clearly shows someone who is using Wikipedia to promote their own interests. --Hu12 (talk) 21:48, 4 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
