Red & Silver is an EP with Christmas music by Divina de Campo, released on 20 November 2020.

Composition

Red & Silver is an EP with four Christmas tracks performed by Divina de Campo, the stage name of Owen Farrow. "Red & Silver", "Sleigh the House Down", and "Stuff My Stocking" were written by Mike Carter, Farrow, and Richard Neal, and "12 Days of Dragmas" is credited to Carter and Farrow.[1] The EP's name comes from an "infamous back-and-forth" between fellow contestant The Vivienne on the first season of RuPaul's Drag Race UK. Sam Damshenas of Gay Times described the EP as a "collection of campy Christmas beats".[2]

Red & Silver starts with a title track about capitalism. Damshehas called "Sleigh the House Down" a "2 Unlimited and Steps-inspired holiday club anthem".[2] In "Stuff My Stocking", Divina de Campo asks someone to "baste her turkey". The EP closes with "12 Days of Dragmas", a rendition from the Christmas carol "The Twelve Days of Christmas" from the perspective of a drag queen.[2]

Divina de Campo said of the EP, "I want people to have something to look forward to and have a bit of a smile and laugh about. It's an escape, so people are able to forget about the rest of the world. Hopefully this will help people get in the mood for Christmas, which I love!"[2]

Reception

Gay Times's Sam Damshenas said the song "Red & Silver" "provides a message of hope in these turbulent times".[2]
