Hi. Thank you. This is a work in progress. All statements will be fully referenced in due course. Philip Sugarman (talk) 19:44, 17 June 2021 (UTC) @Whoisjohngalt: Hi, I have uploaded a picture of Doug richford supplied by his son. I took a phone pic of a photo print. I have uploaded this but got the usual copyright gobbledegook back. Despite endless reading about creative commons etc I simply do not know what to type where or what to click on to solve this license issue. Can you help?[reply]

thanks Philip

Niche but nice

Hi Philip: I really must congratulate you on your extremely thorough and dedicated work on History of the Jews in Kingston upon Hull‎‎. I only stumbled on it by accident, perhaps through some check or other I sometimes make, and I have enjoyed watching its continuing and careful development. Well done and thank you for all your very hard work! Cheers DBaK (talk) 20:18, 29 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your kind comments. Any suggestions for improvement very welcome. Philip Philip Sugarman (talk) 21:07, 29 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Home-Start Worldwide. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, such as at User talk:Possibly, (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Board position and editing

Hello! I hope you have read WP:COI. We very much do not want representatives of companies (a board member is an active representative for the best interests of a company/society, wouldn't you say?) editing the company or society's page directly. Editing drafts directly is OK, as they are not visible to the public, but for "live" articles please use talk page requests as we aim to keep Wikipedia neutral. A Wikipedia page is not a promotional extension of a company or society, but rather a factual restatement of what has already been written about the organization. Please do participate in the above COIN discussion so that we know you understand this. --- Possibly 05:51, 5 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2021 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2021 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 6 December 2021. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2021 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:56, 23 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
