A medley dish invented in Mumbai. It is cooked and served on a hot metal plate that is nested in a wooden charger.

History

It was invented by Firoz Erani in Mumbai in 1963, and his restaurant near Excelsior cinema was called 'Sizzler'.[1] In 1967, his son Shahrookh Erani opened 'Touche’ on Warden Road, but in 1971, he moved to Pune, and started ‘The Place: Touche', a restaurant that is still popular today.[2]
