Reformat

Any comments on a possible reformat of this template as follows?

Much more compact, with less repetition IMO. ダイノガイ千?!? · Talk⇒Dinoguy1000 01:59, 5 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, I think that looks nice.-- 01:37, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

[1] @Juhachi: Except Higanbana being listed twice which is a fair point to make, my modifications are legitimate.
Trianthology has no article, but it should be made clear it exists, since the current page of it is a redirect I know no way to make it a red link to say it has no article except not putting a link at all.
Maybe one could just put the sections I added as sub sections of the 'other' section, because just putting everything in a section called 'other' makes it appear secondary (to me it does at least) while these works are not.
By the way, is the visual novel task force still active?, I founded its French-speaking alter ego some months ago.

First, regarding Trianthology's inclusion, WP:EXISTING says that Unlinked text should be avoided. and that Red links should normally be avoided unless they are very likely to be developed into articles. I don't know if Trianthology has the notability to have an article, but I don't think that it should be included in this navbox until it does have an article. The navbox is to facilitate navigation for existing articles, and anyone can see what else 07th Expansion has done by going to that article, including Trianthology. Not everything needs to be in a navbox. Second, Higanbana listed twice is just poor design. (n.b.: visual novelization) raises more questions than it answers for the casual observer, and if you're gonna list Higanbana twice in that instance, logic would follow that Rose Guns Days would also have to be listed under the "Other media" section because it has manga adaptations. Third, we're only talking about three extraneous articles here, not thirteen or thirty. Putting the last three relevant articles into a single "Other" section on the bottom just means that there was no other place to put them, not that they're secondary. The navbox as it stands merely focuses on the When They Cry series since it makes up almost all the articles in the navbox.-- 00:22, 1 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Juhachi: I'm pretty fine with those arguments, except the fact that 'Other' does not imply they are secondary; 'other' is pretty close to 'the rest' itself close to 'secondary' stuff. I would separate Rose Guns Days and Higanbana from the article on Ryukishi07 by putting the latter in a section called 'Staff' and put the previously mentioned visual novels in their own section called 'Other works'. This addition implies that the word 'other' is no longer alone, and therefore a user will not directly unconsciously link the content of the section to such secondary things as simply referred to as 'other' content.
I would also be grateful if you would answer the question I formulated previously:
"By the way, is the visual novel task force still active?, I founded its French-speaking alter ego some months ago.".
