Thanks for leaving a note...
on my talk page. I cannot claim credit for all the dentaltwin bandwidth on the 'net-- at least half belongs to my brother Steve, who spends most of his time on CraigsList and the sci.med.dentistry Usenet group (to the exclusion of dentistry, I might add).
Although the talk page for dental amalgam is a bit tense, the main article is (to my mind) about as NPOV as you could reasonably expect. I doubt I could accomplish anything useful by stepping into the fray, other than to get involved in vitriol and invective. Not my cup of tea, as you Brits might say, but thanks for the invite. Perhaps I can get Steve to step in ;-)
By the way, I have my first case of true mercury sensitivity in my practice-- the first in over 28 years. It was confirmed by patch test by an "environmental dermatologist"-- never heard of that subspecialty, but he's apparently held in high regard by mainstream docs. It's the first case of mercury sensitivity he's seen too-- so there's nearly 60 man-years of experience and one case. Doesn't seem to merit the controversy it's garnered. Previous to the test, this patient was thought to have a severe case of erosive lichen planus-- confirmed by biopsy. Now let's see if it heals when I remove all the amalgams.--Mark Bornfeld DDS 20:44, 6 January 2006 (UTC)

Great! Many thanks in advance! CoYep 02:49, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
Hi, my name is Giorgio Fiorelli, I am an orthodontist from Italy. I have just seen that you were asked to check the "prognathism" article, the same happened to me. I just added something and I will try to do more in the future. Anyway please go ahead, we might do a good team work. Besides my English is far from being perfect.....

Deletion warning - MJDF
Speedy deletion tap will be placed on article MJDF if this article does not meet wikipedia standard. You are requested to work on it immediately. Please note that other editor/administrator can tag speedy deletion despite this warning. Thanks. TRIRASH 09:58, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
I am not seeing speedy deletion tag on MJDF. Be careful, article names are case sensitive. Keep working on it. Even if it is deleted, you can first draft perfect article on your computer which meet wikipedia standards and recreate article. So back up. Wish you all the best. TRIRASH 10:32, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
- You are quite mistaken. The first eight paragraphs were taken verbatim from the source. Not a single word was changed, although three of the copied paragraphs were repositioned. There may have been a small portion of the article that was written by you, buried down near the bottom, but it is unrealistic for you to expect others to go more than three or four paragraphs deep into an article before determining that it is a copyvio. You had almost a full day to eliminate your copyvio, but you elected not to do so, despite making several edits to the article after the CorenSearchBot warning. Please do not post copyvio text to Wikipedia, even if you plan to immediately edit it. For one thing, the copyvio text stays in the page history. For another, if you start with someone else's text, there's a good chance you will end up with a copyvio even after you paraphrase and change a few words here and there. Anyway, I just emailed the markup of the last version of the article to you. Please be very careful not to post any of the copied text, and good luck! -- But|seriously|folks 18:44, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks. And again, good luck with the article! -- But|seriously|folks 20:06, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

Advice
Instead of creating lots of one or two sentence articles with no context, it would be better to work on articles one at time in your user space then move them when there is enough info in them. Ridernyc (talk) 02:50, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
Hey there
Sorry it took me so long to respond. It has been a crazy month! Well, I am glad you joined us in WP:DENT, and any ideas are always welcomed. Also, for any questions you may have, you are more than welcome to ask me. I have been trying to manage the WikiProject and the Dentistry portal to spotlight some of the activity on dental articles and get interested editors to work together. So it is great to have you, and I will be seeing you around. - Dozenist talk 13:01, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
Greetings
Hi. I found your post on Dozenist's talk page while I was commenting there about something.
I see that you are fairly new here, and have contributed to articles such as rotary technology as well as reamers and files, both of which have been deleted based on lack of contect. I had been meaning to get some photos, but have been busy. I try to get photos in the articles because that makes it much more unlikely that these bots and scanning editors who don't know anything about dentistry will find them too pithy and delete them. I almost had lentulo spiral deleted because people thought I was advertising!
Well, I hope you have fun here! DRosenbach (Talk | Contribs) 20:38, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

The article Dental bodies corporate has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. JamesBWatson (talk) 22:21, 29 November 2009 (UTC)
Hi. I could not fail to notice the number of dentistry articles that you are starting at present - good work. However, several of these articles have no references or sources in them at all. I would suggest inline references as the best option, but some sources or external links from reliable sources as a minimuum standard. Best of luck with your dental articles. Nankali post
Dear Ashley,
This work is confirmed by three universities with its all documentation and observation within some years. I appreciate your imagination about removing tooth structure; yet there is a strong scientific calculation for this post that proves its efficiency.
I am not doing any business on this post and core but I know that in some places they are manufacturing the bur and even there are some dentists who are doing their masters on this post in different places.
However, I am very thank you for your comment.
Special Regards, --Ali nankali (talk) 11:42, 25 December 2009 (UTC)

WikiProject Dentistry -- Update
Hey there! Over the past year or so, the WikiProject Dentistry has fallen into disrepair. Dozenist hasn't been around in nearly 2 years, and after some email communication, he's indicated that he's no longer interested in heading the project. In fact, the project has been labeled inactive since November 2010!
My plan is to focus less on internal bureaucratic policy and more on article creation, article clean-up and article maintenance. That's why people use Wikipedia to search for dental topics -- because it contains wonderfully explained, wonderfully formatted information on relevant topics, not because there are 5 dental articles featured as GA or 7 articles featured as such. So if that's what you like, don't let me stop you, but I think the focus should be on, as I said, article creation and article maintenance.
I welcome all comments, questions and suggestions. If you're new and you'd like help, I'll try to guide you. You can check out my latest few articles: Underwood's septa, platform switching, Bone remodeling period, Cone beam computed tomography, C-terminal telopeptide and furcation defect. You cannot imagine how many dental students I come across at Columbia who tell me they utilize Wikipedia on a weekly basis, but find that there are not enough articles on dental subjects. So let's get out there are create well written, well sourced articles on dental topics. Have a great day! DRosenbach (Talk | Contribs) 12:46, 5 April 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Sorbus arvonensis
Hello Ashley Payne,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Sorbus arvonensis for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source, probably infringing copyright.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Please be careful about what you say to people. Some remarks, such as your addition to User talk:Cygnis insignis can easily be misinterpreted, or viewed as harassment. Wikipedia is a supportive environment, where contributors should feel comfortable and safe while editing. Thank you. — Wug·a·po·des 00:23, 30 November 2021 (UTC)
Any more personal attacks like this and you'll be blocked. If you have a concern about another editor's behavior, take it to WP:ANI with evidence; don't threaten to hound them in violation of the harassment policy. clpo13(talk) 18:37, 30 November 2021 (UTC)
I made no such threat, what you just wrote is false and libellous. Apologise or I sue. Ashley Payne (talk) 10:23, 2 December 2021 (UTC)
