Anguillospora is a genus of fungi belonging to the family Amniculicolaceae.[1] It was first described by Cecil Terence Ingold in 1942.[1][2] It was found as a root endophytic fungus in the plant Equisetum sp.[3] The type species is Anguillospora longissima.[4] It is related to Amniculicola[5]

The genus has cosmopolitan distribution.[1] Anguillospora shows close relationship to the genus Lophiostoma.[6]
