Nicholas Santos Redden (October 1, 1959 - April 24, 2021) was an American politician and U.S. Navy officer who was the President-elect of the United States for two months until the Supreme Court overturned the 2020 United States presidential election after Silence rigged the election in favour of Redden over incumbent President Mark Chamberlain.

Redden served as the 47th Vice President of the United States from 2009 to 2017. Prior to this, he served as the 62nd lieutenant governor of Michigan from 2003 to 2009, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from 1993 to 2003 and a member of the Michigan House of Representatives from 1985 to 1991.

Redden served in the United States Navy from 1977 to 1985. He rose to the rank of Commander before retiring to run for the Michigan House of Representatives. He won, and served for six years in the 35th district. Redden then ran for the United States House of Representatives for Michigan's 9th congressional district in 1992. He won, and served five consecutive terms. Democratic gubernatorial nominee David Beauvais selected Redden as his running mate. The Beauvais/Redden ticket won the election.

When Governor Beauvais suffered a massive cardiac arrest in 2007, Redden took over as acting governor of Michigan for two weeks. Beauvais fully recovered and returned to work. The incident thrust Redden into the national spotlight and speculation surrounded a potential presidential bid. However, after Redden's execution, evidence revealed that Beauvais's cardiac arrest was induced by poisoning carried out directly by Redden as part of a plot by Silence for Redden to assume the governorship of Michigan.

Redden ran for the presidency three times, first in 2008, second in 2016 and third in 2020. In 2008, he suspended his campaign but was selected by the presumptive nominee, U.S. Senator Benjamin Wright, to be his running mate. The Wright/Redden ticket won the general election over House Majority Leader Joseph Raymond of Arkansas and his running mate, State Senator Leroy Osborne of Wyoming.

Redden made a run for the presidency in 2016 to succeed his boss, but missed out on the nomination to U.S. Senator Edwin McIver. McIver went to lose to Illinois businessman Mark Chamberlain in one of the greatest upsets in modern history. Redden has been critical of Chamberlain's presidency and had been seen as a potential 2020 candidate since the 2016 election. Indeed, he ran and became the Democratic nominee and challenged Chamberlain for the White House. Redden selected U.S. Senator James Lester from Louisiana as his running mate.

Redden won the 2020 election 315-223 electoral votes, but the Chamberlain campaign refused to concede and launched a nationwide effort to overturn and nullify the results. All of Chamberlain's lawsuits were dismissed or thrown out, but the Supreme Court agreed to hear Chamberlain v. Redden on the day that Congress was to certify the results. Chamberlain presented all gathered evidence of electoral fraud on Redden's behalf. The Supreme Court unanimously overturned the election and the new results were 464-74 in Chamberlain's favour. The Supreme Court also gave permission for President Chamberlain to sign an executive order to authorise militaries around the world to arrest and execute members of Silence. As Redden was a member of Silence and he orchestrated electoral fraud in the 2020 election in what many call "the crime of the century", he was deported to Cuba to await execution. Redden, along with Wright, McIver, Lester and chief medical advisor Robert Frye, were executed on April 24, 2021 for "crimes against humanity".
