Romulo Tolentino Dela Cruz, D.D., (born in Balasan, June 24, 1947),[1] is a prelate of the Roman Catholic Church in the Philippines. He is the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Zamboanga in the Philippines.

Life and Ministry

Romulo T. Dela Cruz was born in June 24, 1947 in Balasan, in Iloilo he was ordained priest of Cotabato, Philippines on 8 December 1972. He was ordained as Coadjutor Bishop for the Roman Catholic Territorial Prelature of Isabela in 1988 to succeed Bishop Jose Maria Mendizabal and he succeeded on 1989 and in 2002 he was also appointed as Coadjutor Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of San Jose de Antique, he also succeeded as Bishop on 2002. He became the bishop of Roman Catholic Diocese of Kidapawan on 14 May 2008.[2]

On March 15, 2014, Pope Francis appointed Dela Cruz as Roman Catholic Archbishop of Zamboanga which was vacant since Archbishop Romulo Valles was appointed as Roman Catholic Archbishop of Davao.[3]
