Strathclyde Law School
The Law School was established in 1964 and now operates within the faculty of Law, Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Strathclyde. The Law School has recently expanded to newly-designed accommodation in the Lord Hope Building (named after David Hope, Baron Hope of Craighead). The new Law School accommodation will be officially opened by the Lord Advocate Elish Angiolini QC in February 2007.
The Law School is one of the top Law School's in Scotland and one of the most highly regarded in the UK.
Post-graduate courses, including the Diploma in Legal Practice, are available from the Glasgow Graduate School of Law (GGSL). The GGSL is a joint collaboration of the University of Strathclyde and Glasgow University. The GGSL is based on Strathclyde Campus in the Lord Hope Building.
