On September 15, 2016, Brown was fined $11,576 for doing a twerking dance celebration after a touchdown in Week 1 against the Redskins.[1]

- Comment SB Nation is a blog site, but that's a pretty hefty fine so I'm sure there are more reliable sources out there covering this. Lizard (talk) 22:50, 15 September 2016 (UTC)
- ABC News, CBS Sports. I'm currently on mobile though away from home so I don't have time to put it into the article. Lizard (talk) 22:53, 15 September 2016 (UTC)
- Additional comment: I would agree to both sources, and the one from sports nation as well. If someone approves of this, it just might silently accept this edit request and put all three references in while updating the article. The fine sure looks hefty for dancing in celebration. 50.29.199.144 (talk) 01:30, 17 September 2016 (UTC)

Antonio brown personal life
Brown has fathered five children with multiple women.[1] After reviewing the source, I don’t think this information is credible. It is diminishing to Brown’s career, and I don’t think we should include it unless it’s confirmed by Brown, or it is supported by something other than a rant on Instagram by some person. Let me know! Apoorv Chauhan (talk) 02:47, 21 November 2018 (UTC)
- This information is credible. USA Today is not the only source available. Brown has confirmed that he has five children with three mothers. Please stop deleting relevant and accurate information. If you want to correct something, then please correct it and cite your sources. — Preceding unsigned comment added by WikiHogan654 (talk • contribs) 05:01, 21 November 2018 (UTC)
In the source provided, it blatantly based its claims off of the Instagram post I mentioned earlier, which is why I questioned the credibility of your source. Furthermore, it is your responsibility to find accurate sources about your edits. I still researched this, and I did find this[2] to be the most credible. I see this has already been cited by someone else in the article. Just make sure to provide accurate sources. Thanks! Apoorv Chauhan (talk) 21:33, 21 November 2018 (UTC)

Error in Personal life section
This new addition contains an error, an inconsistency, and could be better-worded:
CURRENT: "On January 3rd 2019, Brown took part on the first season of the American version of The Masked Singer. His mask that he competed in was "The Hippo", singing "My Prerogative" by Bobby Brown. He was eliminated in the first episode."
PROPOSED: "On January 2, 2019, Brown appeared as a competitor on the first season of the American version of The Masked Singer. He was eliminated in the first episode." — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mesamac (talk • contribs) 19:47, 3 January 2019 (UTC)
Failed Buffalo trade
Should info about the failed Buffalo trade be added to the article? Jusgtr (talk) 04:17, 9 March 2019 (UTC)
No. Rarely is a failed trade significant enough to merit even a passing mention on Wikipedia, and in this case it definitely doesn’t merit that. Mrbeastmodeallday (talk) 06:46, 10 March 2019 (UTC)
Possible Antonio Brown Trade not yet official
There has been a verbal agreement according to Adam Schefter that sends Antonio Brown to the Oakland Raiders for 3rd and 5th round picks. Brown also gets to restructure his contract.Wadeentz99 (talk) 05:47, 10 March 2019 (UTC)

"2018 Season" paragraph needs tightening up
It reads .. "In Week 13, on NBC Sunday Night Football, he had 10 receptions for 154 yards and a touchdown in the 33–30 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers on NBC Sunday Night Football." Did anyone happen to mention that this performance was on NBC Sunday Night Football? I thought so. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.160.228.101 (talk) 13:46, 11 March 2019 (UTC)
It also reads .. "Overall, Brown finished the 2018 season with 168 receptions for 1,297 and a career-high 15 touchdowns." I think 168 may be just a tad bit off-scale high. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.160.228.101 (talk) 13:56, 11 March 2019 (UTC)

According to the associated source (https://heavy.com/sports/2018/11/antonio-brown-kids-children-how-many/), he only fathered children with two women. Fezbit (talk) 15:06, 7 September 2019 (UTC)

Regarding the asterisk
Per Template:Infobox NFL biography and Wikipedia:WikiProject National Football League I've seen no information stating that a player has to play a game to not be denoted as an offseason-only member of the team. In addition to that, I've seen dozens of examples over the years of players who have had short stints with teams during the regular season not playing a game but are still considered to be regular season players. Furthermore, the key at the bottom says nothing of playing a game, purely that the player is either practice squad or offseason-only.
Hitpoint0213 (talk) 18:42, 7 September 2019 (UTC)
- @Hitpoint0213: All of your points are correct, except for the timing you stated in an edit summary. The issue here is that he is not considered a member of the Raiders' week 1 roster since their game had not been played at the time of his official release. It doesn't matter that the league's week 1 began on Thursday, it's about when the Raiders' week 1 began. The Raiders' roster was not "locked" for week 1 until 4:01PM Monday, and he was released at 4:00PM EST Saturday. Had the Raiders played on Sunday, their rosters would have "locked" at 4:01PM Saturday. His NFL.com stat page will reflect this as well, as he will not have a game log record for week 1 for either the Raiders or Patriots. Eagles 24/7 (C) 13:04, 10 September 2019 (UTC)

Notability of Dr. Victor Prisk event
"That same day, Pittsburgh-based Dr. Victor Prisk, who worked with Brown during his time with the Steelers, alleged that Brown passed gas numerous times in his vicinity, including directly in his face"
The above line is gossip like and does not seem notable, the point of this portion of the article it is linking to his talking about shady business dealings and unpaid fees, the farting thing is a throw-away sentence, it is longer in the wikipedia article then it is in the original article and not a notable event. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 39.110.218.200 (talk • contribs)

Rap Career/ Song-ography
Shouldn't the Antonio Brown include a list of his recent rap tracks with info about featured artists. And Some info about his rap career. - @Bears247: Good catch, I fixed the infobox. The "currently is a free agent" bit that appears in a lot of other articles isn't necessarily required, some editors prefer to use it and others don't. The reason not to include it is per WP:PRECISELANG, and since another editor has argued against including it here I won't change it back. Eagles 24/7 (C) 01:37, 10 March 2020 (UTC)
Retirement
User:Rockchalk717 - I've reverted your removal of information. I understand that AB has made comments in the past and walked them back, but the information is a direct quote from AB (and it is referenced) - so "speculation" is not in play here. If others feel that we should remove it then I'll abide by consensus, but given that it's been 2 years since he even played - I think "retirement" is an acceptable declaration. If he "un-retires", it can also be added in the future. Saying that he will return because he has in the past - now THAT is speculation. I'm not saying it can't happen, but we can address it the same way we've documented the Brett Farve article. — Ched (talk) 00:31, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
- @Ched: He never used the word “retire” in his tweets, so to act like his “retirement” is a direct quote is a stretch. I’ll go ahead and leave it alone for now because you do bring up a good point about it being speculation that he may come back because he’s done this before.--Rockchalk717 01:16, 21 July 2020 (UTC)

Should be "was" not "is" "an American football wide receiver for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers". He was kicked off the Bucs today following his on-field temper tantrum. 72.93.26.118 (talk) 22:17, 2 January 2022 (UTC)
- Usually we use "was" in the opening sentence to indicate a dead person. If there is reliably sourced coverage of an official transaction involving AB, that would be the time to make a change to the team in this entry. Larry Hockett (Talk) 22:22, 2 January 2022 (UTC)

AP says Brown is off Tampa Bay - that should be good enough for Wikipedia:
"EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — Antonio Brown was apparently frustrated and angry. So he walked away.
From the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. And possibly his NFL career.
The mercurial wide receiver was kicked off the Buccaneers after a bizarre, shirtless exit from the field before Tom Brady coolly led the Bucs on a 93-yard drive in the final minutes for a 28-24 victory over the New York Jets on Sunday.
Coach Bruce Arians said after the game Brown was off the team.
“He is no longer a Buc,” Arians said. “All right? That’s the end of the story. Let’s talk about the guys who went out there and won the game.” Micromis (talk) 03:57, 3 January 2022 (UTC)
