Patrick Pearse's possible grave turning
This sentence say practically nothing:
- Dempsey flirted with controversy during his Oxegen 2006 performance. On the main stage on Saturday afternoon, the singer sensationally suggested that Patrick Pearse would be "turning in his grave" at the state of modern Ireland.
What was the topic of conversation at the time? What did Dempsey see Pearse as advocating? What aspect of modern Ireland would be violating Pearse's philosophy? Without these details, it's just alleged gossip. Gronky (talk) 23:27, 10 July 2010 (UTC)
- Probably the attitude to the Irish language (which is bizarre in the Republic and paradoxical) and how the UK is recolonising the place.--MacRusgail (talk) 16:06, 4 March 2012 (UTC)
Personal Life?
Is there any info out there concerning his personal life (relationships / marriage-etc)? Is he single? We are curious and cant find any info about this. Just curious. LoveLight8980 (talk) 07:53, 3 August 2011 (UTC)

Damien Dempsey height
Whomever has listed Dempsey's height as over 9'2" and his brothers at 10'5" is not converting from meters correctly. Two meters = 6' 6.74". I can't access the article linked in the footnote so dont have the original figures for converting. Somebody out there please correct the info! 2601:14F:0:CB:25D9:924A:C2BD:426C (talk) 18:55, 3 January 2022 (UTC)
