User talk:99.164.85.35
January 2011
Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, but at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Bobbin, did not appear to be constructive and has been automatically reverted (undone) by ClueBot NG.
- Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Note that human editors do monitor recent changes to Wikipedia articles, and administrators have the ability to block users from editing if they repeatedly engage in vandalism.
- ClueBot NG produces very few false positives, but it does happen. If you believe the change you made should not have been detected as unconstructive, please read about it, report it here, remove this warning from your talk page, and then make the edit again.
- The following is the log entry regarding this warning: Bobbin was changed by 99.164.85.35 (u) (t) ANN scored at 0.975567 on 2011-01-28T19:52:29+00:00 . Thank you. ClueBot NG (talk) 19:52, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
The recent edit you made to Bobbin constitutes vandalism, and has been reverted. Please do not continue to vandalize pages; use the sandbox for testing. Thank you. Chzz ► 21:57, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
Harhar, censor me all you want. What satisfaction do you get from it anyway?
- I'm not a bot, and I'm not an administrator.
- I try to help improve Wikipedia.
- Replacing an article with 'Bobbins are a highly dangerous new species of creature or a rant about 'freedom of speech' does not help improve Wikipedia, so I removed it.
- If you continue to vandalise, you will be blocked from editing. Or, you could decide it was pointless, and help improve articles. It is your choice entirely.
- You ask me why I do it? Why do you vandalise? Really...what's the point? It'll be changed back within a minute or two, and...well. I don't know. Do what you like.
- Personally, I prefer making things better, rather than worse.
- Thanks for responding, anyway - and whatever you decide, I wish you the best of luck. Chzz ► 22:11, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
- Oh, whatever. I'll just leave if I can't do anything here.
- OK. I removed the post here, too.
- Did you notice, it said at the top - You are editing a page that documents an English Wikipedia policy. While you may be bold in making minor changes to this page, consider discussing any substantive changes first on the page's talk page.
- If you want to make suggestions, and discuss Wikipedia, then try the Village Pump. Chzz ► 22:18, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
I'll just go play in The Sandbox I guess.

Re. "Get off my talk page you bot!"...well, it would be nice if you signed things, so we know who they're from; just put ~~~~ when you leave messages for people. Chzz ► 22:49, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
Retired, rather quickly indeed
As long as Wikipedia has editors who revert people's edits to their own pages, I will not return. 99.164.85.35 (talk) 23:33, 28 January 2011 (UTC) (Happy, Sinebot? I signed my comment for your mechanical pleasure)
- I thought you didn't like bots, but preferred the personal touch? Well, guess what: real people, not bots, make mistakes. The user who reverted your page made an error; and I asked 'em about it, and they apologized; see User_talk:Chzz#Sorry.
- If you really prefer humans to bots, then please accept human error. Chzz ► 00:20, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
Oh, really? I accept for the moment, but that was a strange error to make in my opinion. Despite accepting, I have a feeling of simply... not knowing what to do on this site. I may leave for that reason. 99.164.85.35 (talk) 00:30, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
By the way, on the subject of "Why I Vandalize," I believe the case for me, and many other "vandals" is extreme boredom. You know, something's probably wrong when someone can't think of anything more entertaining than unconstructively editing some random website. 99.164.85.35 (talk) 00:49, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
- You know, there is lots of constructive stuff you could do, and that would keep you out of boredom. You seem to know a fair bit about about the 'pedia judging from your edits. You don't have to be a vandal. Most vandals are nothing but random people who have nothing better to do. You at least make an effort to understand why everything works the way it does, voice your opinion, and if you need something to do, here is a premade template that I know you will despise, but it has some helpful things on it anyway:

- Also consider making an account, as that will increase the number of things you can do, such as making articles. I just hope that a future contributor like you won't leave because of lack of work. Think about staying. You can always ask me, Chzz, or any other regular contributor if you have any questions, and I really do hope you stay; you could be a great user, and you already seem to have started figuring out some things. :.:∙:∙∙:∙:.:|pepper|:.:∙:∙∙:∙:.: 01:55, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
So...many...rules! See what I mean! What's more, a large number of supposed rules are random essays written by more bored people. 99.164.85.35 (talk) 02:13, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
Actually, it's all common sense, as shown here.
But, given the size of Wikipedia, we need lots of documentation guidelines.
I assure you though, they're not written just by one person. Policies and guidelines come after weeks and months of debate by hundreds of people...and are constantly up for scrutiny and discussion. Chzz ► 12:07, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
Ok, maybe I could try making an account. By the way, this is me. My dynamic IP just changed. 76.250.192.179 (talk) 15:06, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
