This is an old revision of this page, as edited by CPMartin (talk | contribs) at 13:57, 7 January 2022 (Reported name: Added updated information re apparent removal of her name from news sources). Added birthdate.

I've added her birthdate to this article because on her Genius profile [1], it says she was born on 18 April 2001.

PROOF: Victoria Walker (born April 18th, 2001), popularly known as PinkPantheress, is an English singer, songwriter, and record producer. Her identity is mostly mysterious and anonymous, much like her music which stands as a blend of House, Disco, Neo-Soul, Lo-Fi, UK Garage, and Pop. Her name derives from the iconic American fictional animated character The Pink Panther. She signed to Parlophone in 2021. Angelicmonterohannaho123 (talk) 14:12, 28 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Reported name

Numerous sources cite her name and date of birth as Gemma Victoria Walker[2][3][4][5] and 10/04/2001, but there are users who seem keen for this not to be published. Suggesting page protection to prevent continued edit war back-and-forth. CPMartin (talk) 12:06, 6 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Update: Some news sources that previously listed her name have been quietly removing it, presumably on request from either her or her PR team to try to maintain the air of mystery. There are archive versions of many of the original versions of the articles that include her full name[6][7][8] (some were not archived before they removed it, and some still retain it[5]). This suggests that there is a strong (albeit ultimately futile) attempt to keep her name a secret. As such, perhaps it's indeed best that this article doesn't directly list her name just yet. I would suggest that this issue should be revisited at some point. CPMartin (talk) 13:56, 7 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Change “Gemma Victoria Walker” to “Gemma Bridey Smith”. Pink Pantheress’ name is Gemma Bridey Smith. MaiaReid (talk) 13:21, 6 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 13:23, 6 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
