Tracy is a train station in southern Tracy, California on the edge of the San Francisco Bay Area.[3]
The station, located near the intersection of Tracy Boulevard and Linne Road, is served by commuter Altamont Corridor Express (ACE) trains between San Jose Diridon Station and Stockton. Tracy residents use the station predominantly as a method of commuting to job centers in the Silicon Valley or Alameda County where they may also transfer to Caltrain that allows them service into San Francisco.[3]
ACE uses trackage rights over the Union Pacific Railroad for service in Tracy, on the former Western Pacific Railroad right-of-way through the city. The Tracy ACE station is located at Milepost 71.0 on the Union Pacific's Oakland Subdivision; this location includes an industrial spur adjacent to the station that is designated as "Ayala"[4] on the railroad's timetable.
Tracer bus service did not previously serve the station, with route D being the nearest service.[5] As of the system map available in September 2012, route D spurs directly to the station as part of regular service.[6] As of 2021[update] the station is directly served by routes D, F, and G.[7][non-primary source needed]
