Sacrilege (2020 film)
Sacrilege is a 2020 British horror film written and directed by David Creed and produced by Mark Kenna.
Plot
A group of friends have set out for a short vacation in Mabon, a remote village where they hope to have fun and reconnect. Kayla is particularly hoping to use the weekend to forget her worries about her abusive boyfriend. The group picks up a hitchhiker, who tells them that the village will be celebrating the summer solstice with partying and a ritual. The group eventually realizes that they are to be sacrifices for this event and must try to save their lives. To do so means that they must battle what they fear the most.

Reception
Sacrilege has a rating of 0% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 5 reviews.[1] Film Threat and Starburst were critical of the film, both criticizing it as having a lack of originality and for its characters.[2][3] Horror magazine Rue Morgue was also dismissive.[4] Metro UK was more favorable, praising it for its tension and CGI.[5]
The worldwide rights on Sacrilege were subsequently picked up by Devilworks who were then able to sell the film virtually in places such as Cannes.[6]
