Your source #1 is primary and self-serving. And, source #2 is WP:BLOG of some random book club. Both of them cannot be used for the claim that concept had been described earlier, notably by Arthur E. Christy in 1945. You said book club's blog is a peer-reviewed; I fear you don't understand what a "peer-reviewed academic journal" means.
