I've done a bunch of audio recordings, listed here. As of the beginning of February 2022, I'm working my 10th: Moon! I'll update the linked page as I go, but mostly leave this one alone, so who knows how many I've done by the time you're reading this?

I do my best to keep a neutral-ish tone in my article readings, but emotions do come through. As such, the following potential biased viewpoints might be detectable from my tone of voice in recordings:

  • Large numbers are impressive, especially if they describe something in space.
  • When people die needlessly, it's a bit of a downer.

Beyond the recordings, I mainly just make minor fussy edits.

General goals

I need to learn the International Phonetic Alphabet better, so that I can somewhat conquer my fear of mispronouncing words in the article recordings.

I'm gradually learning the tricks of recording and editing, and once I've picked up a few more, I intend to go back to some of my earlier recordings (especially Earth) and improve the sound quality.

I've got some some ideas for a bot to recommend recordings, but that's on the back burner until it becomes more concrete.
