There is no English language listing for "Prellball" - can anyone help out in this respect? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kuzzer (talkcontribs) 10:13, 9 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Divide list

Can we divide the list of ball games into alphabetic groups, say A-K and L-Z? Tabletop (talk) 05:31, 19 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Page title check

This page was moved to "ball sport" without consensus. I have moved it back and would be against such a change as it is not a common way of referring these. Please see Common naming conventions. Thank you,

Move page

This page should either be moved to ball games or ball sports - either is more common. I think sports should be used as the articles listed are more sports than games. If there is no objection I will move. IgnorantArmies —Preceding undated comment added 07:32, 9 May 2011 (UTC).[reply]

Negative. Read my thread above.

I realized this must be a misunderstanding of cultural differences today. To clear things up, I've updated the page with references that explain the cultural differences and moved the list to List of ball games. The term "ball sports" needs to be left off of either as it is not common...see this comparison in published texts. Wiki should use the most common name in titles.

Ice hockey is a ball sport, isn't it?

As far as I know, ice hockey is usually considered a ball sport even if it is played with a puck rather than a ball. (Just as American football, which is also not played with a ball.) So when it is stated here that ice hockey is not a ball sport, it seems to be someone's own consideration, unless it can be references in some source.
