Can I start adding lines like "Kent, Clark (see Superman)" and so on. It seems more organized, but don't know if its important since DC has alot more char then Marvel.
Multiple identities
Erm. Forgive me, but if we will point out former and present identites taken by various characters, that forces us to list separate characters with the same name (i.e. Spoiler was the fourth Robin). Thus, I did some. Feel free to contest this. Apostrophe 05:54, 24 Oct 2004 (UTC)
Couple of questions
a couple commens/questions --- dunno if anyone reads this
- . Etrigan *is* The Demon.
- . I just made The Elongated Man from an existing red link, with "The". I noticed here it was just [[Elongated Man]], with no The. SO I added the The. What's Wikipolicy on names? Ensiform 02:44, 30 Mar 2004 (UTC)
- It was just "Elongated Man" probably because it was taken from http://www.toonopedia.com/index.htm which shows it as "Elongated Man". However the individual article over there says "The Elongated Man". Anyway can you clarify on what your question actually is. Does wikipedia:naming conventions help ? Jay 08:53, 30 Mar 2004 (UTC)
- If you look in the archives of Talk:List of Marvel Comics characters you will find extensive discussion on the use of "The" in front of character names. Basically, myself (User:Lowellian) and User:UtherSRG thought that the article "The" should not be used in page titles; User:Michael Rawdon thought that the article "The" should be used in page titles. The issue was never satisfactorily resolved, and we just basically reached a truce where we left pre-existing pages alone. --Lowellian 19:23, Mar 30, 2004 (UTC)
- My question was whether the page needed to be just EM rather than The EM, but I think Lowellian is right and pre-existing pages should be left as is. The was there, so we'll keep The. Thanks to both of you. Ensiform 00:18, 31 Mar 2004 (UTC)
- Who is the Banner and why does the link lead to the Incredible Hulk article?
- Why is Abattoir listed as a hero?
Size of article
Uhh does anyone think the dc section is way too large? After all this is what you would expect from a comics history of over 70 years. I propose to edit the dc section with caps. What if marvel section gets that large? 32kb is the max quota. Even Marvel section has 37kb. This has whopping 45. AND their are different Aliases (characters were called something different in certain times.) To User:Lowellian who deleted updated lists of characters: Was going to list as categorized below. Thanks will make sure NOT to finish webpage editing for DCU. I hope more new, hip, characters be added in years to come to make large. Very inaccurate, inconcise list of characters from 70 years. Good luck.User:Marvelvsdc
Should policy change only be for the characters whom are a part of the dc universe? For instance, have a character who is exclusive to the dc universe appear as is the case with marvel's ultraverse series appearing in dc continuity. Take the references of the shows from DCAU out unless they appeared in that continuity eg Harley Quinn would be added but Dollface would not. That would reduce the size drastically. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Asfd666 (talk • contribs) 14:25, 8 May 2012 (UTC)
If a character is created by warner brothers and not appear in dc continuity it should not be on here. Same goes with characters like say Ms. Tree, its creator owned. I also think the wildcat/wildstorm characters are an exception if they appeared with/or in dc continuity more than once. That would reduce the size drastically and leave room for minor characters. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Asfd666 (talk • contribs) 14:29, 8 May 2012 (UTC)
These characters should be in their own categories eg batman tv show characters or something. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Asfd666 (talk • contribs) 14:31, 8 May 2012 (UTC)
also while im here, wats with the new template its horrible. That should be in a list of references for games or something under 1000 references. Sometimes I want to find minor characters, but i don't need to know all about the character. Maybe if you did like a minor character section link with a 1000 minor characters or something. It just looks like it could work if you didn't add it or reduced the research and number of characters greatly.--Asfd666 (talk) 14:36, 8 May 2012 (UTC)
Splitting this article apart
To the anonymous user who split this article apart on March 27, 2005 (see [1]): Please don't make a change this large without soliciting the opinions of other Wikipedians first. I personally find this page much more useful when all the characters can be viewed at once. You might also be interested in taking a look at Category:DC Comics characters. —Lowellian (talk) 02:16, Mar 31, 2005 (UTC)

Death list
Should add a list of all dead characters —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.1.111.113 (talk) 02:13, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
Worthless list (of emptiness) in current state
No info, no names, no nothing. Zilch, nada, no jack shit!? Sideways add (talk) 21:51, 8 May 2015 (UTC)
- I am not a comics person, so I do not presume to know what should actually be on this page. If you want to be bold, you could populate the page with something similar to the content of List of Marvel Comics characters.
- The only thing that was here a few days ago was characters whose names started with 0–9. I moved those to their own list after fixing the TOC template. – Jonesey95 (talk) 04:33, 9 May 2015 (UTC)
New category?
There should be a list dedicated to heroes (and villains) without powers.2601:346:C201:60C0:A4D0:DC87:6C54:392C (talk) 00:06, 6 February 2022 (UTC)
