History
2008 - The first version of the company’s PDF editor goes live.[4][5]
2012 - airSlate reaches 10,000 customers.[6]
2015 - airSlate, with over 6 million users worldwide, expands into software integrations for CRMs and apps.[7]
2016 - airSlate has 100 team members worldwide.[8]
2017 - the company receives a $40 mln investment from the General Catalyst venture fund. airSlate acquires the signNow B2B eSignature product.[9][10]
2018 - pdfFiller is renamed to airSlate and starts offering an end-to-end workflow automation platform. The rebranding was done to emphasize that its services were not limited to PDF processing.[11]
2019 - airSlate acquires US Legal Forms, offering all customers full access to its over 85,000 forms. US Legal Forms is the largest library of forms available online.[12]
2021 - airSlate reaches a headcount of over 900 team members. Its user base grows to over 100 million worldwide.[13]

airSlate is a no-code automation platform that helps users create, integrate, and automate document workflows. It allows users to create and negotiate contracts, conduct surveys, get documents eSigned, and facilitate payments.[14]

signNow is an enterprise-grade, legally binding eSignature solution for sending, approving, and eSigning documents.[15]
pdfFiller
pdfFiller is a PDF creator and editor that enables users to create, manage and edit documents and forms in the cloud.[16]
US Legal Forms
US Legal Forms is an online library of legal documents that provides access to over 85,000 state-specific forms and form packages.[17]
API
The company offers an API for its eSignature solution, signNow, which allows for embedding eSignature into custom applications, websites, CRMs, and cloud storage services.[18] The signNow REST API provides SDKs to support configuration in PHP, .Net, Java, Python, and Node.js.[19][20] The signNow API relies on the OAuth 2.0 authorization protocol and provides access to signNow resources via three-legged OAuth.[21]
Partnerships
airSlate offers a partner program to Managed Service Providers (MSP), affiliates, resellers (Tier 1 and Tier 2), and referral partners for all company products.[22] To expand their reach to specific industries, airSlate has partnerships with over 100 partners, including Internet2,[23] TechSoup[24], Unqork, and PWC.
Based on customer demand, airSlate partners with companies for integrations or add-ons so customers can continue to work with the solutions they already use across their organizations such as AWS, Microsoft,[25] Salesforce, NetSuite, Procore,[26] and others.
Funding
In January 2021, airSlate raised $40 million from backers including Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital, and General Catalyst to invest in additional product functionality and further expand its international reach.[27] The company has raised a total of $80 million to date.[28]
In February 2021, airSlate raised $50 million in debt financing from Silicon Valley Bank.[29]
