Poll
@Dragonrykr: There is already a disclaimer (denotes the poll was commissioned by an election participating political party.) and "failed verification" isnt for biased polls but for claims which cant be proved by the source (*I* added this template because i hadn't access to the article!) Next Montenegrin parliamentary election → 2024 Montenegrin parliamentary election –
There's a reason we have 45th Canadian federal election instead of next Canadian federal election. The "Next Montenegrin parliamentary election" will probably change in the future. Dunutubble (talk) 15:16, 5 February 2022 (UTC)
- Pinging @WalterII, @Braganza, and @Rintas. Will also notify 178.220.252.77 as well. Dunutubble (talk) 15:21, 5 February 2022 (UTC)
- I'm a bit careful, Montenegro is politically hard to predict Braganza (talk) 15:31, 5 February 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose. The 45th Canadian federal election is so named because "45th" is an ordinal numeral, not a specific year. If you want to apply the same standard, then this page should be like 30th Montenegrin parliamentary election or whatever reliable sources say the numeral is. Not "2024" or any other specific year until the election is officially called. Otherwise it should remain as "next" with most of the rest of the general election articles currently in Category:Future elections in Europe. Zzyzx11 (talk) 17:51, 5 February 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose. Similar to Next United Kingdom general election, there is no guarantee that the next election will actually be in 2024. (Indeed, seeing some recent news reports about a no-confidence vote, an early election seems like a real possibility. But even if this were not the case, "Next" would still be appropriate.) - Oppose There is no need to move the page since the date hasn't been announced yet. The government was just voted out so snap elections might be held this year, but it's unlikely. Next is also commonly used for other pages, which was pointed out by Adumbrativus. --Vacant0 (talk) 12:28, 6 February 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose The current title is the standard naming format for future elections of unknown date (see e.g. Next United Kingdom general election, Next Spanish general election, Next German federal election etc.). Number 57 15:52, 6 February 2022 (UTC)
