Hello. Help copy edit. Thanks you. Vnosm (talk) 06:46, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Vnosm:! The page looks pretty good to me. I can go over it to see if there's anything that needs fixing, but it looks like you've done a good job so far. BuySomeApples (talk) 07:01, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The early life part does not seem to be good. Vnosm (talk) 07:41, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Vnosm: That part actually looks fine to me. The English is good, it makes sense and the info looks right. I made some copyedits to the page to clean it up a bit. Is there any particular reason you're cleaning this up? BuySomeApples (talk) 16:51, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for reviewing Typequick. :)

Hi BuySomeApples! Thank you for offering to review my article Typequick. Just read your comments on the nom and wanted to personally reach out. :)

For what it's worth, I was not paid to advertise the company or DYK it. I did my own research (using some hard-to-find print sources they provided) and wrote a neutral, comprehensive article. I'm not sure what "yes but actually no" for neutrality means - in your own words the page is "basically solid" and "perfectly fine". Also, DYK hooks can easily be rewritten haha! I have had 37 articles promoted to DYK in the past, and I have poured by blood, sweat, and tears into every single one. Reading your words I am heartbroken. Perhaps you could reconsider your decision? (I greatly appreciate your copyedits by the way).--Coin945 (talk) 12:09, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @COIN945:! I'm very sorry to hear that you're heartbroken by this. The last thing I wanted was to waste anyone's time or take apart your hard work. I saw that you had been paid to write the Typequick article and assumed that putting it on the front page might tie into that. "Yes but actually no" is a meme. It was my way of saying that although the content of the article is fine, the spirit of the nom might not be. The rules say that dyks can't be used for promotion, and I think this comes too close to that. I also didn't really spend enough time on the page to say definitively whether it was neutral or not/ I'm really sorry and I hope that the next nom goes better for you. Hi Apple, I see you've done a great job on Blxckie, however I think it was inadequate to shorten/edit the opening statement. Do you mind undoing the edit please. Thank You Motlatlaneo (talk) 06:06, 10 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Motlatlaneo: I moved the majority of the text into the "Biography" section because the introduction is supposed to be a short summary of the page. The majority of the information should be in the body of the article instead. You can expand the introduction a bit, but quotes and details belong in the main part of the page. Good job!

First off, nice name. Second, the statement on your userpage is so, so true (it's a crime Jenny Nicholson doesn't have an article). And third, good job working on the Finn the Human article! I got Marceline the Vampire Queen up to GA many moons ago, and I'm happy to see another character article lookin' quite good.--Gen. Quon (Talk) 18:26, 24 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Gen. Quon: Your work on Marceline's article is actually what inspired me to work on Finn's! I'm so surprised that Jenny Nicholson doesn't have a page yet, it feels like she's made such a huge impression on internet culture. You might have given me some ideas if I can find enough sources... BuySomeApples (talk) 21:15, 24 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@BuySomeApples: If you want some help with that, just let me know. I see that you created a draft, but I don't want to jump in and overstep or anything.--Gen. Quon (Talk) 15:06, 25 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Gen. Quon: Please do! I appreciate you not wanting to overstep by jumping in, but I'd appreciate the help. I try not to get possessive over pages I work on (although I'm sure everyone has difficulty with that sometimes). BuySomeApples (talk) 02:01, 27 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@BuySomeApples: Alrighty, I'll help out where I can! I've already made a few tweaks. As an aside, I still need to finish MLP:FiM. I was really digging it in 2012 (alongside AT), but after the third season finale, I just sorta lost interest. I really resonated with Jenny's experiences watching her BronyCon video.--Gen. Quon (Talk) 16:15, 27 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Ah I'm so excited for you! Season 4 and 5 of FiM are some of the best seasons imo. I remember getting into the show around the time s4 came out and playing catch-up on older seasons. I thought s8 was OK, but s9 was an amazing way to conclude the show. AT's finale was even better imo. I started to fall off of AT around season 7, but I recapped on all the plot heavy episodes just for the finale. BuySomeApples (talk) 19:43, 29 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
If you liked the finale, then definitely give "Together Again" a try (if you haven't already). Whereas CAWM allowed us to say goodbye to Ooo, I feel like TA let us say goodbye to Finn and Jake.--Gen. Quon (Talk) 17:18, 31 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
