E-an-na is a Romanian folk-metal band based in Sibiu. Formed in 2014, the band's music has been described as classical folk metal with traditional Romanian elements. The band got nominated for "Best metal newcomer" at the Metalhead 2015 Awards, placing second.[2] E-an-na attempted to represent Romania in the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Malere".[3] Although they did not qualify to the national finals,[4] the band gained over ten thounsand online votes in the first semi-final; the most out of any act.[5]
