Robert Golob (born January 23 1967 in Šempeter pri Gorici) is a Slovenian electrical engineer and politician.

Between 17 May 1999 and 19 June 2000 he was the State Secretary of the Republic of Slovenia at the Ministry of Economic Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia. In 2006, he became Chairman of the Management Board of GEN-I and remained in office until 2022. In 2011 he became the vice-president of Zoran Janković's party Positive Slovenia, and later the vice-president of the Party of Alenka Bratušek.

On January 24, after several months of announcing his entry into politics, he announced his candidacy for the post of party president Z.DEJ. At the congress, he also renamed the party, which has since been called the Freedom Movement. On February 1, 2022, he met with the parties of the KUL coalition at a joint meeting.
