Article 1: Sport communication

This is a brief article that talks mainly about how communication between players/coaches/and al else in attendence works. It also mentions the different jobs avaliable within that field. One area that the article touches on that I liked was studies done to show the both negative and positive effects that communiction has on a team. One thing that I believe I could add to the article is how communication from coaches affects to morale of the team.

This article talks/focuses on how a coaches communication with their players can affect the morale of the team. Its says that the way a coach talks to his/her players can have either negative or positive effects like winning. That is one thing that I thought should be added to the wiki article to help show people how a team functions.

This article talks about how the coaches stress level can affect the relationship between players. This was done in the form of a study and concluded how well players were able to detect high levels of stress within their coaches. This affect can really hurt or help a team depending on how players/coaches respond and is a very big form of nonverbal communication.

Article 2: Media (communication)

This article focuses on regulation side of media. It talks about both the government involvement and private sector for regulating media. Not only does the article remain nuetral in its stance on regulation, but it provides many good and reliable sources as to how the regulations work and why they are there. The one area that I feel could be added onto is the social impact that social media has. The article focuses mainly on how the media/technology has helped and connected people all round the world today. I feel as though I can add onto that with information about how the media has affeted people, mainly college students (good or bad).

The author here focuses on social media in colleges, specifically how it affects people of color. This article has one main study performed on symbolic interactionism. This idea is that (a) individuals interact with and assign meaning to the objects (e.g., people, things, ideas, experiences) in their environment, and (b) these meanings inform individuals’ beliefs about the world and shape their behaviors. This article remained unbiased and provided good resources and citations.

While this article is very short, it is also very informative. What the article basically says is that it is not the fault of social media itself, but rather the use of social media that is the prooblem. This is a very interesting point to consider, however there is some bias behind this statement. This is an article that I will keep around just incase but probably not use.

Article 3:Mass communication

This is an article that talks about all the different types of communication that there are in the world. It is very relevant in the world and class today and would be a good article to edit. The one thing that its is missing is a specific history of media. For example, when different forms first appeared.

This article talks specifically about how mden media came to be and what influenced its creation. I believe that adding this to the main article could provide a better idea of how we have our forms of media.
