Speedy deletion of Christopher Logan Biggs

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Christopher Logan Biggs requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 02:01, 12 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of The Panther Patriot

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article The Panther Patriot, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. School newspaper article

[edit]

Just a suggestion in case you missed my comments at AfD? How about you try building an article on the actual school first? Then you could add a section on the school newspaper, but you would need to keep trivial info to a minimum. Just about everything added to Wikipedia does need to adhere to WP:N and WP:V so might pay to take things slowly and read a few help files. Try doing some edits to your hometown article if there is such an article here.--Sting Buzz Me... 01:55, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your edit summary usage

[edit]

Hi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field - please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you.--Sting Buzz Me... 07:34, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please use the 'Show preview' button

[edit]

Hello Goglobalinfo. Though many of your edits are useful, please consider hitting the 'Show preview' button under the edit window rather than hitting 'Save' every time. The edit history can be clogged up by many small changes. You appear to have over forty edits to Addison Community Schools, some as little as 3 characters, which makes it hard for others to follow what was done. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 19:34, 20 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Goglobalinfo, could you please pay attention to the suggestions regarding edit summarys and use of preview button given to you by myself and another editor. Also, I'm going to have to remove your unreferenced additions to the article you are working on. Trivial information about a school newspaper are of minor concern when the article in general still needs reliable sources for references.--Sting Buzz Me... 00:13, 23 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article The Big Five (late-night talk show franchises) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Neologism with zero reliable sources to back up notability.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ~a (usertalkcontribs) 01:41, 10 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A discussion has begun about whether the article The Big Five (late-night talk show franchises), which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Big Five (late-night talk show franchises) until a concensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.

You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Dbrodbeck (talk) 00:35, 11 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
