Mallow (Super Mario RPG)
Mallow is a character in 1996 Super Nintendo release Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. In the course of the game, Mallow is the second character to join the list of playable characters, after Mario initially encounters him while visiting the Mushroom Kingdom. His Thunderbolt skill, which attacks all enemies at a low cost, makes him a powerful ally throughout the game.
Character
Frogfucius, a sage amphibian who is similar to the Chinese philosopher Confucius, found Mallow and raised him to believe that he was a tadpole, despite the fact that he looks nothing like the amphibian creatures. Later in the game, Mallow learns that he in fact was not a tadpole, but the long-lost son of King and Queen Nimbus, rulers of Nimbus Land, a mythical weather kingdom of fuzziness. Mallow and the rest of the party (including Mario, Geno, Princess Toadstool, and Bowser) arrive to defeat the usurping Valentina and Dodo, avian creatures that have seized control of the kingdom. Subsequently, Mario and his party restore King and Queen Nimbus to power and reintroduce the newly-rechristened Prince Mallow is to his birth parents, before riding the Royal Bus to defeat the villainous Smithy, in order to recapture the Star Pieces and restore Star Road.[1]
Mallow's basic attacks consist of either simple punching, bludgeoning weapons (such as walking sticks), or cymbals. As the son of the mystical Nimbus monarchs, Mallow possesses control over the weather, a skill that increases with his power levels. Eventually Mallow can conjure thunderstorms, lightning bolts, snowstorms, or shooting stars to attack the enemy or use an HP rain to sustain the life force of his team. Template:Endspoiler
