147 is the highest possible break in snooker, in the absence of fouls and refereeing errors. This score is reflected in the names of 147-Break is a 1983 documentary with Steve Davis, an English professional snooker player, and of Snooker 147, a PlayStation 2 game.
In some traditions, there are 147 psalms. However, current Christian and Jewish tradition lists a larger number, leading to the suggestion that some of the psalms in the earlier numbering were split into multiple pieces.[1][2]
