Hello. I have decided to nominate you for a position as an admin. (Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Feydey). Looking through your edits, I believe you would be a fine admin, and hopefully you will accept the nom. --Wizardman 19:42, 3 January 2007 (UTC) If you wish to accept, the discussion can be found here.

You're now an admin. Have fun using the shiny new tools to help the project keep improving. Sorry I missed 00:00, but I got caught up in a couple things. In any case keep up the good work, re-read the policy as necessary, and try to diffuse situations rather than escalating them. Using the tools conservatively can help. I have seen your changes to one of the images here. There is no overall effect to the page presentation. I downloaded the image, improved it and uploaded it with a new name. Image name needs changing
- Can you change the name of the Image:DSCF3286.JPG to a descriptive name, it is actually meant to be called "Baginton Castle in 2003", although the new editor uploaded it and called it Finham Castle on this summary, I am going on the date on his camera stamp. I guess that only administrators can do this. I did not upload this image I have been trying to help a new "user:Neil Reid". I am not sure if he has found his talk page yet. I think that he is interesting in contributing images to the wiki. Are you on the welcoming committee? I wonder if you could welcome him or suggest someone on the welcoming committee who would welcome him. Snowman 17:01, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

Error in deletion
Good day. You deleted an article called ERA Cyprus due to copyright infringment. However, this was an error on your part, as ERA Cyprus is part of ERA and therefore can not infringe on copyright as it belongs to ERA Cyprus which is part of the ERA franchise.
Could you please add the article back, this may be confirmed with anyone at ERA by email or telephone.
Thanks for looking out for our interest though. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Eracyprus (talk • contribs) 20:23, 17 January 2007 (UTC).

Sangean shortwave radio
Why did you delete the image I uploaded of a Sangean shortwave radio (from the article about Sangean)? I got that from an eBay ad of someone who was selling their radio, and before I uploaded it, I wrote an e-mail to the seller, asking him if I could upload his image to the Wikipedia, and he said okay. The image was never copyrighted, and the guy who took the picture already gave me his permission to upload it.

List of Newspapers change
added Mafia_godfather 12:33, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
for the article "List of Newspapers", why do you restore Taiwan(Republic of China)? I think the article is simply a list of newspapers around the world, and there is really no need to put ROC behind Taiwan since most of the world recognize Taiwan already. It will actually eliminate the confusion of two "Chinas". Secondly, the world adopts the One China Policy of PRC as the only legitimate China of the world, it would be politically incorrect to put ROC up there since the UN Resolution 2758 has already replaced ROC's legal representation with PRC. And finally, neither ROC's constitution nor international laws state that the ROC possesses the sovereignty of Taiwan. It is much better we just leave "Taiwan" the way it is, that way, you do not upset the Chinese for creating another China and the Taiwanese for imposing a foreign trustee government as the owner of their territorial sovereignty. Finally, I see you did not put "Republic of Korea" for S. Korea and "Democratic People's Republic of Korea" for N. Korea... why ROC for Taiwan? It's unecessary.

Orphaned fair use image (Image:SamanthaFox.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:SamanthaFox.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Unprotecting articles
If you see a message in the protection log that says something like "libel concerns" or "BLP concerns", as in Bentley School, this usually means that the Wikimedia Foundation has received e-mail concerning these articles from the subject of them, sometimes containing legal threats, and the article should not be unprotected after a mere month. —Centrx→talk • 16:25, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

How to get an article to DYK (Did You Know...)
Greetings and Salutations from central asia.
I've been trying to spruce up the Sayram article. Internet speeds are horrendous here, and it seems there's always something else to fix or reword. I'm doing my best to scrutinize my text, but I don't have the practice and full understanding of the format that comes with time.
My main question is: since I just created this article, doesn't that mean that it falls under the main criteria to be mentioned in the "Did you know..." sections on the main page of Wikipedia? I would like a little guidance on thrusting this little article into a big more limelight, if possible.
Public scrutiny is good, right?

Deletion of article "Karlstad Dragons"
Hi there,
I would like to object the deletion based on the notability criteria guideline, where it states: "A company, corporation, organization, group, product, or service is notable if it has been the subject of at least one substantial or multiple, non-trivial published works, the source of which is both:
* independent of the company, corporation, organization or group itself, or of the product's or service's manufacturer or vendor, and * reliable."
The organization "Karlstad Dragons", was subject of one substantial, independent and reliable work, on the Swedish Australian Football League - SAFL (www.safl.se) - http://www.safl.se/Site/News/1A757EA8-2748-467B-85D8-6445DE052221.html.
Concerning not being affiliated with a league, I can state that this is only a matter of weeks.
Confident, that this argument will change your mind in deleting the article. Keep up the good work.
Best,

Vandalism
I'm sorry, but how did me removing items such as "HEY GUYS CALL ME AT (503)566-7064" and other such random information, and "content" someone had pasted in the wrong section (info already in the article) constitute vandalism at Oregon Trail? Please explain? Aboutmovies 04:50, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
- I’m a bit disappointed. First, I would expect an admin to first look more carefully, especially when the edit summary was “revert vandalism” before jumping the gun with an icon. Generally, myself, if I go into someone’s talk page/user contribution history and see they have been doing vandalism in general, then and only then will I warn them. But if they look like a regular contributor, then I assume good faith and look and make sure it was vandalism, then I usually still don’t warn them, I just fix the problem and move on. Avoids confrontation with other valid editors.
- Secondly, when you jump the gun like that it makes legitimate editors get ticked off and not want to bother reverting vandalism like I did a handful of times yesterday. The page in question was repeatedly vandalized and probably has more remnants still there, but I don’t know and I am not going to bother to find out. As it was obvious that everything I removed was vandalism including the duplicate info because it was a vandal who put it there here as a copy and paste from the above area. It is clearly vandalism when you look at the edit history. Then to top everything off, you give me an excuse. I was very reserved yesterday in my response to you. I knew what I had done was not in any way, shape, or form vandalism. What I was expecting from an admin was a sincere apology (no excuses given like please add more to your edit summary) where by you take responsibility for your actions, and then remove the warning you placed with an edit summary to the effect that, oops, I screwed up so other visitors to my talk page don’t think I’m some sort of vandal.
- But I guess its not entirely your fault as I am severely disappointed in admins in general since none have responded to my request to close out an old merger proposal and my request for semi-protection on another page that was being vandalized several times daily with no other activity but, vandalize followed by reversion, was denied with a comment like not enough vandalism. You know how that translates: keep reverting it for us, your time is not valuable, thanks.
- I been busy enough trying to get an editor to understand the WP:COI guideline and other important rules at Talk:Lattice Semiconductor. So, thank you for wasting my time here. Aboutmovies 16:47, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
