Mannheim Business Angels

[edit]

Dear Lantay77, the Mannheim Business Angels is a legitimate and existing organisation. I do not understand what is promotional about detailing its existence, its vision, mission and values ? We are Not looking for funds or money we are in fact a provider of funding and financing as well as free coaching and mentoring in Europe. Furthermore the association is a Non Profit and our members are not payed or compensated for there contribution. In addition to being committed to our values, all members of our organizing committee have signed the MBA-oath (see http://mbaoath.org/about/the-mba-oath) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nltlo22 (talkcontribs) 13:16, 25 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Whoops

I welcomed your bot. For some reason the BOT suffix didn't strike me until afterward. Calabe1992 21:01, 7 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. In The Nutcracker, you recently added a link to the disambiguation page Robert Irving (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. For more information, see the FAQ or drop a line at the DPL WikiProject.

rollback

[edit]

Hi Lantay77. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Katietalk 01:51, 23 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@KrakatoaKatie: Thank you for giving me rollback rights. I will let you know if I have any questions. Lantay77 (talk) 02:58, 23 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined: Te iubesc Dodo! Apology for my obvious mistake

[edit]

Hello Lantay77. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Te iubesc Dodo!, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: "This does not include poor writing, vandalism and hoaxes (G3), material not in English, badly translated material, etc." - it's in Romanian. Thank you. Shirt58 (talk) 03:13, 24 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Lantay77
Short version
I was wrong. You were right. I apologise for my mistake.
Long version:
I kind of grok the Romance languages. My starting point is Italian - o la lingua più bella, la lingua più semplice!
It took me a little while to realise that it was in Romanian as it didn't use diacritics in â, ă, î, and so on. For a moment I thought it might be in Portugese. What was I thinking?
I didn't run it thru Google Translate as I thought the lack of diactics might bork it up. I was wrong about this. I should have known far better.

@Shirt58: No problem. Thanks for letting me know. Lantay77 (talk) 07:08, 25 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ricky Simpson page is not promotional

[edit]

Hi Lantay,

Thank you for looking over my page. This page was not created for promotion. Rick Simpson is one of the most famous cannabis activist celebrities in the world and I was shocked that he didn't have a wikipedia page yet. When I compare the page that I made with Jack Herer's page and Marc Emery's page, I don't understand why Ricky's page is promotional considering that they look identical. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Herer https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marc_Emery

I want to contribute to wikipedia, but I am confused because I don't see how I am promoting him. Can you specifically point out in what way or what specific things make this page appear promotional to you? That way I can do better next time. I read through all of the rules and made sure that his page was not promotional. If there is one specific thing that I did that made it sound promotional please let me know and I will remove that. Rick Simpson is the most famous person that I ever heard of that doesn't have a Wikipedia page. He has 330,000 facebook likes and he is mentioned thousands of times in articles all over the internet. This is a big celebrity and he for some reason has no wikipedia page. I used Jack Herer's wikipedia page as a template to write Ricky Simpson's page. Writing which books he wrote and which website is his I considered to be the correct thing to do because Jack's page has the same thing. Thank you for your time.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
