ArbCom 2021 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2021 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 6 December 2021. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2021 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:02, 23 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

WaWa

Appreciate the message Xanzzibar! As a Philly native, when I came across WaWa's wikipedia page, I was shocked to see nothing that reflected the almost cult like following the store has. I find this mindset fascinating, especially with regards to a convenience store. I see a similar mentality with customers and Trader Joe's, but even in this case, Trader Joe's is nation wide. There is something so fundamentally 'Pennsylvanian' about WaWa that I am trying to reflect in my posts. It's hard to put into words, but in the same way that Philadelphia sports fans are rabid about the Eagles, and there is an intense pride in the team, WaWa has developed a similar mentality. WaWa is Philly's convenience store, like the Eagles are Philly's team.

I would happily bring this to the WaWa talk page. Again, appreciate the message! InhumanScarab (talk) 17:25, 4 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Which/that

Hi! This is of no great importance, but might save you some time. Your edit summary here read in part "which/that fix". That "fix" was not really necessary, as which and that are equally appropriate relative pronouns for defining relative clauses relating to an inanimate antecedent. There's useful guidance here. SS "Atlantus"

Hello Xanzzibar, just letting you know, the starboard side of a ship is the left side. This is the proper term when referring to a ship.
