This is an old revision of this page, as edited by MalnadachBot (talk | contribs) at 10:52, 29 March 2022 (Fixed Lint errors. (Task 12)). The present address (URL) is a permanent link to this revision, which may differ significantly from the current revision.

Please do not repeatedly revise an article. This is called "Edit warring". If someone doesnt like your changes, and restores the prior version, the appropriate recourse is to start a discussion on the talk page, and wait for feedback. John Vandenberg (talk) 11:57, 25 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Banu Nadir and Banu Qurayza

Please cease and desist continued reverts on both pages w/o proper talk and explanation; not only are you inciting an edit war like the above poster said, you are violating other wiki policies:

[1] Banu Nadir - it is properly sourced as something other sources say is another possibility of historical happenings; what various websites might say has no impact here if you don't source them and definitely not if they are unreliable so while you can't remove the event in the article, you can post the interpretation of its reliability next to it if you can find a Reliable Source to tag it with.

[2] Banu Qurayza - a mediation decision has already occurred that the topic title should be "demise" and we intend to keep it that way b/c that is the only thing all sides would agree to so please don't continue to stir up disagreement.

Jedi Master MIK (talk) 15:53, 25 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You have been repeatedly requested to substantiate the new Banu Nadir story but failed to do so. It is inconceivable that all the Muslim websites would make no mention of it if it had any truth or substance.

The term "demise" implies that the Banu Qurayza died by themselves rather than being slain after having surrendered. 80.179.192.75 (talk) 19:45, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have blocked you for 24 hours, as you continue to make the same changes[3] without discussing it on the talk page. As a result of this block you are prevented from making further modifications to Wikipedia until the 24hrs has expired. In the meantime you may still read Wikipedia, and you make ask for assistance on this page, which is the only page you are able to edit. If you think I have been unfair, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below. --John Vandenberg (talk) 11:33, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have started a discussion on the talk page of Banu Nadir. They had ample time but failed to substantiate the story. It contradicts all the Islamic websites that speak of Muhammad's requested contribution rather than the alleged invitation to discuss religion.

As to Banu Qurayza, please note that I did not make the same changes but different versions. "Siege, surrender, slaying and slavery" would probably be the most appropriate title. 80.179.192.75 (talk) 19:45, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Do our posts appear as invisible text to you or do you have some sort of block on certain words, most notably "reliable", "sources", and "mediation"??? Jedi Master MIK (talk) 04:31, 27 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your response defies logic just as the unreliable account on the Banu Nadir eviction that you keep reposting which is unfounded in the whole history of Islam.

As to Banu Qurayza, there is no reason to skip "surrender" and to call the slaying "demise". 80.179.192.75 (talk) 15:19, 27 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No information is added or commented on in wikipedia w/o sources, simple as that.
This is what the mediation came up with as most agreeable, if you weren't there, so sorry.

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to the page Michael Blum has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, please ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. Please do not make test edits to articles, as you did with this edit to Maxse, even if you intend to fix them later. Such edits constitute vandalism, and will be reverted. If you would like to experiment further, please use the sandbox. Thank you. ZooFari 07:26, 21 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not vandalize pages, as you did with this edit to List of Inferno applications. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. ZooFari 07:27, 21 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. You will be blocked from editing the next time you vandalize a page, as you did with this edit to Strehareţi River. ZooFari 07:29, 21 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, you will be blocked from editing. Stop deliberately triggering abuse filters. It is vandalism. LedgendGamer 07:17, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you think it's a game, then that's a reason not to unblock you. I also see that this IP address appears to have a history of abuse, as is evident from its block log. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 08:10, 5 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this IP address or network has been used to disrupt Wikipedia. It has been blocked from editing to prevent further abuse.
If you are not the intended target of this block, please read the information below in order to receive assistance.
Wikipedia tries to be open, but we sometimes must block IP addresses to prevent editing by abusers, vandals, or block evaders. These blocks can affect users who have done nothing wrong. If you are a legitimate user, follow the instructions below to edit despite the block. Users who are the intended target of a range block may still appeal the block.

IP users (without an account): If you do not have an account and wish to bypass this block, an account can be created to allow you to edit. In general, these blocks only prevent users who are not logged in from editing; once you are logged in, the block will no longer affect you in any way. To request an account, simply click here and follow the directions provided on the page. It is important that you use an e-mail address issued to you by your ISP, school, or organisation, so we may verify that you are a legitimate user. When filling out the account request form, please refer to this block in the "comments" input field. If you've been instructed to request an account via email, please refer to this block in your message.

Registered users (with an account): Please make sure you are logged in to your account. If you are unable to edit while logged in, you may request IP block exemption to bypass blocks unconnected with you that affect your editing. Post an unblock request to your user talk page.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.

Request reason:

Hi... just a note to say that this ip address is the one of the main internet cafe at the Central Bus Station in Jerusalem... that might explain the problems being on the mohammed article... I am not acting at the moment on behalf of the owners of this place - in fact they probably won't be very bothered... BUT i suppose you must have some sort of guideline to do with this sort of situation. The chief complaints seem to be against specific user: couldn't just those/individuals trying to vandalise the same pages in the same way - be blocked? it does seem unfair to penalise the public for the actiopns of some bored souls... DISCLAIMER: i in no way have anything to do with the vandalising cited on this page. my e-mail address <since deleted> if it matters. Thanks again... btw i arrived here after trying to plonk a link on the scribd page for the list of supported formats... the link was http://support.scribd.com/forums/35566/entries/25092. Hope it's useful! :-D

Decline reason:

Sadly, no (just ask any briton). Because Wikipedia uses IP addresses (not MAC addresses) to identify anonymous users, we are unable to block one specific anonymous user on an IP (range) that is dynamic or publicly-accessible - we can only block the IP (range(s)) that bad edits are coming from. The only way we could block a specific user is if he is a registered account; likewise, the only way a user will be able to edit thru this IP block is if he registers and gets IP block exemption. We apologize sincerely for the inconvenience. -Jeremy (v^_^v Stop... at a WHAMMY!!) 22:35, 7 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
