Coat of arms of the Dukes of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Beck

Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Beck (Schleswig-Holstein-Beck for short) was a line of the Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg branch of the House of Oldenburg. It consisted of August Philipp, Duke of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Beck (1612-1675) and his male-line descendants. Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg, to which several present-day royal houses belong, is a branch of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Beck.

The members of the line were titular dukes of Schleswig and Holstein, and they were originally not ruling. The line is named after Haus Beck, a manor in Ulenburg, in the Prince-Bishopric of Minden, from 1648 part of the Duchy of Westphalia in the Margraviate of Brandenburg, and since 1719 Minden-Ravensberg within the Duchy of Westphalia, part of the Margraviate of Brandenburg (today Löhne, North Rhine-Westphalia). August Philipp bought this manor from the Count of Oldenburg in 1646, and he made it his residence. In 1719, the dowager duchess inherited it, to sell it in 1732 to the actual duke, her late husband's first cousin, who re-sold it in 1745 to Magdalena, Baroness von Ledebur-Königsbrück.
