Luca Soccer Club is an Indian professional football club based in Malappuram, Kerala, which competes in the Kerala Premier League, the top tier of Kerala football. The club was established in 2017 as a football academy. In 2019, it become a professional football club.

History

Luca Soccer Club was founded in 2017 in Malappuram and is one of the fastest growing and developing clubs in Kerala. The club started as a football academy at the grassroots level for developing young talents. Luca SC emerged as a professional football club in 2019, and the senior team is a solid presence in all major tournaments in Kerala.[1][2][3]

Luca SC also tried to get direct entry to the I-League.[4][5] A Dubai-based company bought 25% shares of the club.[6] Luca SC is planning to use its own stadium at 9 acres (3.6 ha) of land at Manjeri.[7]

Ownership

Luca SC is majorly owned by its founder Navas Luca, 25% of its shares are owned by a Dubai-based company, and the rest by its co-owners Musthafa Kamal and Shaji Madathil.[8]
