Farrow View House (Pronounced "Far-oh') is a historic house located in Dalwhinnie, Scotland on General Wade's Military Road. An address of the house is not available on Google Maps.
History
The house was built in the year 1900 by local Scottish labour men for John Campbell and his wife, Winnifred Campbell. The house was named after The Fara, a mountain in view of the house with the name of the house inspired from the mountain.
The right half of the house facing an unnamed church was used as a post office and a small shop owned and operated by John Campbell. The shop was a small general country store. There were 2 counters inside the shop, one for the post office and one for the small shop.
After John Campbell retired, the post office and shop were closed and a new post office started operation in Dalwhinnie following John's retirement. The post office and shop remained in the same state until John's death. His decade of death is unknown, but John lived a long life into his late 80s (age 85-90).
After his death, John's son William Campbell took ownership of the house. The shop and post office portion of the house were renovated and incorporated into the rest of the house. William left the house and William's daughter Eunice Campbell and her husband Stefan Brezicki moved into the house. They lived in the house until they immigrated to Canada leaving the house back in William's possession. William then sold the house on an unknown date to an unknown buyer.
Name of house dilemma
Farrow Mountain does not exist. The Fara, a nearby mountain overlooking the house however does exist.
Eunice Campbell's Comments on William selling the house
"He is a moron. He should've never sold the house. I would've never sold the house. I would still live in the house." (Eunice April 19, 2022)
