Planisware is a technology company that is the developer and provider of Planisware Enterprise V7 and Planisware Orchestra[3] - two Enterprise Project Portfolio Management (PPM) applications - which are delivered globally via its Business Innovation Cloud. Functional Scope

Planisware Enterprise is Planisware's primary software solution for Strategic Portfolio Management, Project Portfolio Management, and Innovation Management/NPD (New Product Development). Planisware Orchestra is Planisware's primary software solution for Adaptive Project Management, and Collaborative PPM.

Planisware Enterprise integrates five areas of advanced functionality:

  • Strategic Project Portfolio Management (financial management, investment simulation and alignment)
  • Project and Program Management (resource, planning, suppliers, cost and time tracking)
  • Innovation and Idea Management
  • Business Intelligence (roadmapping, simulation, scorecards, data exploration)

Planisware Orchestra eases implementation with a turnkey solution providing:

  • Collaborative Project Portfolio Management (financial management, investment simulation and alignment)
  • Demand Management (strategic scoring, portfolio prioritization, alignment)
  • Hybrid Project Management & Reporting (agile, waterfall, Stage-Gate and hybrid project templates, planning, tracking, task management)
  • Resource Management (capacity planning, role-based or named resources, assignment rules)
  • Cost Management (analyze project financial performance, manage budgets, account for FTEs, expenses, materials, equipment)

Product Architecture

Planisware Enterprise has a three-tier architecture: a browser on the client side, an application server and a database. On the client side, Planisware supports any mainstream browser on Microsoft Windows, Linux/UNIX, Mac platforms and runs with an Ajax applet. The Planisware application server combines with a classic Web server (IIS and Apache). The database can be either Oracle or SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
