Hello Akodip. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Akodip. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Akodip|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. -- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 20:46, 29 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I have not been paid to make any edits and I do not accept such.Akodip (talk) 21:46, 29 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You are creating fully formed articles with complete wiki markup in a single edit. You are also uploading images of the subjects you are writing about and claiming them as your "own work". Your edits have all the hallmarks of undisclosed paid editing.-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 21:51, 29 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Carefully look at my contributions not just make assumptions. I am contributing on topics of interests.

Background

Austin Liabunya is the first born son in a family of four children and hails from Bwanje, Ntcheu district, central Malawi. He did his primary school at Mphika LEA School up to standard seven before he proceeding to Bwanje primary school to completely his primary level and got selected to go to Ntcheu secondary school. After finishing his secondary school, he proceeded to Blantyre where he did School of Ministry before starting his ministry in Lilongwe in the year 2012. In 2014, Liabunya also attended School of Ministry Sessions by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome of Christ Embassy in South Africa.[1] [2]

While at Ntcheu Secondary School, Liabunya founded a fellowship called Winning Souls, which eventually initiated the journey pf his current ministry. After school, he continued to preach and launched the fellowship in Lilongwe, before proceeding to launch the same in South Africa and Botswana. As a Prophet, Liabunya slowly started attracting people's attention through his outbursts prophecies on elections, corruption and governance. [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8]

Malawi Presidency Prophecies

Liabunya claims to have correctly prophesied the outcomes of Malawi presidential elections after the death of former President Bingu Mutharika. On his Facebook page, Liabunya has shared photos with heads of state including the Joyce Banda and the incumbent Lazaras Chakwera whom he he claims he gave him a prophecy that he would win elections in 2019.[9] [10] [11]

Some of his famous prophecies are as follows:

- The same year 2011, Prophet Liabunya prophesied about Malawi having the first woman President who he said would only rule the country for a very short period of time and this also came to pass in April 2012, one year later when she was Joyce Banda came in as President following Bingu Wa Mutharika's passing.[12]

- Liabunya also prophesied in 2012 that Malawi's former Peter Mutharika was meant to win the following elections beating the then seating president which came to pass in 2014 after MALAWI'S general elections. The prophecy was extensively carried out in Malawian newspapers as Liabunya is said to have met Mutharika before the elections for prayers and gave him conditions for winning the elections which Liabunya’s later refused to tell the media but he said if Mutharika would later not follow his instructions would become a one term president of 🇲🇼 MALAWI. [13]

- It was in the same year 2014 when Prophet Liabunya prophesied that the person who Mutharika would take for VICE would leave the party and form his own party and this happened again when Soulos Chilima left the governing party and formed his own UTM party.[14] [15]

- In 2020 following Malawi run off elections, another prophecy by Liabunya was believed to have come to pass following the victory of Lazaras Chakwera who won after heavy court battles as foretold by Liabunya in his prophecies.[16] [17]

Controversy about his birth

Liabunya constantly claims that he stayed in his mother’s womb for ten months against the normal routine of nine months as many children are born and that seven days later, his Mother, Emily, left him in a kitchen for warmth and went to draw water at a nearby well. While there, at a distance, she noticed a smoke from the direction of her house. She immediately rushed only to discover that the kitchen roof in which Austin was left was up in flames. Without fear, she rushed in and rescued the young Austin. Three days after the occurrence, Emily visited her father who lived in a different township and explained to him the story. Upon hearing of the incident, the father named the young boy, ‘Austin’ as to mean, ‘the child will be great on the face of the earth’.

Other Controversies

In 2021, Liabunya engaged in a verbal fight with another man of God, Pastor Hastings Salanje and throw jabs against each other as they argued on who was more authentic between them, while prophesying about Malawi's future. [18] [19] [20] [21]

In 2022, Liabunya gave two prophecies about Pemphero Mphande and Gospel Kazako. He said Mphande would have to become a born again and serve God to avoid bad lucky while on Gospel Kazako, Liabunya condemned his wedding, describing it as a "mistake" by the Minister. [22] [23] [24] [25] [26]

In 2022, Liabunya threatened to sue a tabloid, Mikozi for defamation as he claimed the celebrity gossip platform constantly attacked his reputation.[27] [28] [29]

Miracles

Liabunya also claims that he performs miracles in his church. Among others, he claims to heal the sick, tell people about their future and give them good lucky to do well in the society. It is also said that his miracles are performed in his churches in Malawi, Botswana and South Africa. [30] [31] [32]

Philanthropy

Over the years, Liabunya has also engaged in reach out and touch activities under his church organization by donating various charity items to the need more epcially in Malawi.[33]
