Chongzhen (simplified Chinese: 崇祯; traditional Chinese: 崇禎; pinyin: Chóngzhēn; Wade–Giles: Ch'ung-chen; lit. 'honorable and auspicious') was a Chinese era name (nianhao) of the Ming dynasty. This period spanned the years from 5 February 1628 to 25 April 1644. The reigning emperor was the Chongzhen Emperor (崇禎帝), the last Ming emperor.
