Trivia
- During Santos' year with Fiorentina (1994), club owner Vittorio Cecchi Gori promised to arrange a dinner with actress Sharon Stone if he scored six goals that season. However, Márcio Santos scored only twice and one own-goal. [1]
- When playing for Ajax Amsterdam, as a substitute he once received a red card after 19 seconds of playing in the match against PSV Eindhoven on december 19, 1996. That's still the fastest red card for a substitute in Holland.
