History[edit]Thomas Whiteside is a political adviser to the navy. Born in Tasmania, Australia; Thomas Whiteside struggled greatly in school and ended up joining the Navy after getting results that his educators saw as being, "Unacceptable". After School, Whiteside was dedicated to his role in the Navy. After showing great enthusiasm in his work he got promoted to eventually become chief adviser to the Royal Navy. After being interested in Britan all his life, Whiteside, now in his late sixties has indicated desire to become a British citizen as he sees himself to be British in all ways in exception to his name. Whiteside did apply for British citizenship in 2006 but it is still under review after the incident with the media earlier that year (See Scandals). Whiteside, although still employed by the Royal Navy is often criticized due to his so called "Loyalty" to his homeland of Australia. Whiteside is a self-pronounced Anglophile. This has raised some conflict with the Australia govenment about his loyalty to his country of origin. Whiteside is currently under the scrutiny of both the govenments for whome he is more loyal to. Family Life[edit]There is not much known about Whiteside's immediate family life as he keeps it reasonably close to his chest after incedents within the media involving them. Whiteside reportedly lives in the same town he was born, Cornwall, a tiny town just outside of Launceston. He has indicated he lives with all his family in what he describes as, “One Big House” . Scandals[edit]In early 2006 Whiteside created hell for himself when, in the commercial break or so he thought of the 'Today' show on chanel 9 when he started on a rant expressing interest in his cousin calling her the “Forbidden fruit”. Whiteside comments were completely unprovoked, and unwarranted by the host, and were leaked out onto the internet by an unknown source of the 'Today' show. This incident and previous unrest after numerous comments about his sexual behaviors in realation to his family, lead to questioning as to his position in the Royal Navy and an investigation in regards to his British citizenship. Whiteside was able to retain his job in the Royal Navy (just) and his british citizenship is still being looked upon. It is unknown as the Whiteside's current whereabouts as he went into hiding in late 2006 due to "Family Issues". There have been ocassional sightings of him, but nothing confirmed. See Also[edit]

Paul Cotton is best known for involvement with the band "POCO". Founded in the late 60's by Jimmy Messina and Richie Furay, who had recently been a major part of the band "Buffalo Springfield". Paul soon joined "POCO", as Jimmy was fasing out of the band. He and Paul spent lots time together, so Messina could introduce paul to "POCO'S" style and methods. Not that Paul Cotton needed any direction, he had previously been with a band called "The Illinois Speed Press". A well known Chicago band. The Band had played on the same bill with "POCO" a few times. Richie Furay had admired Paul's sound, style and Vocals, and felt that "Poco" could use his influence. He has been a member of the band. through it's growth and re-growth. Rusty Young, Paul Cotton, Jack Sundred and George Lawrence are what make up "POCO" today. They are as tight a band as ever, and still continue to give memorable and touching performances to all who are fortunate to see them live. Thanks, J.C. Norton
Sources[edit]Part of my source is from a publication on the story of "The Buffalo Springfield" called "For What Its Worth". The rest is just stuff that I know, from my familiarity with the band. 63.3.0.129 06:24, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This makes the 2007 Big Bear one of, if not THE most feature-equiped five speed ATVs still produced. The Big Bear has changed quite a lot over the years. And especially a lot over the 2006 model. Big Bears of yore were full-time four-wheel drive (an almost unheard of drive system today-- Honda got rid of this system for their 2007 Ranchers) without the luxury of full floorboards or speedometer or differential lock. The biggest difference, though, between the older Big Bears and the Big Bear of today is the addition of IRS (independent rear suspension) which gives the Big Bear 10.5 inches of ground clearence and allows the tires to gain traction independently or at angles unlike a straight axle ATV. This is especially helpful in the deep "skidder" ruts and mud holes of the American South. Yamaha also states that the Big Bear's seat is 40mm more padded for 2007. Yamaha's market research showed that 25% of all ATVs sold in America were still five speeds (as opposed to Automatics), and that 50% of that 25% were Southern consumers. Yamaha then redesigned the Big Bear for 2007 to reach this specific consumer. That "Southern" consumer most notably rides in deep mud and water, so Yamaha added the IRS, in-out four-wheel drive, and locking front differential to accomodate the harsh and sticky terrain. Also added was a fully encased rear "wet brake" system that was described by an industry journalist as working like a clutch (multiple plates encased in oil) but backwards. Wheras you RELEASE a clutch to bring the plates together, the Big Bear's brake is PULLED to bring the plates (connected to the axels) together, thus stopping the ATV. This system is supposedly "maintenance free," though the 2007 model has not been out long enough to prove this true. It is available in Red, Green, Blue, and camo. An extra feature Yamaha added to the 2007 Big Bear (another nod to the mud-centric consumers it is made for) is the addition of Mud Lite tires. The Mud Lite is the best selling aftermarket tire in America due to its agressive tread pattern and light weight. The Big Bear has a very low-geared transmission, offering an ultra-low first gear in place of a high/low range. It doesn't make the 400 the fastest thing on the road, but it does make it a real stump-puller. All of these features come together to make a strong, torquey, go-anywhere ATV. Vented Vision is a five-piece rock/metal band that cites such influences as All That Remains, Killswitch Engage, Cold and other various rock and metal bands. Originally formed in 2006 by Frank Palmer and Dylan Eveland, the band has re-began in 2007. The band had originally decided to break up after many unsucessful practices but Frank and Dylan decided to find new members. Joe Jenkins was found to play drums and then for a while nothing happened but in April 2007, nearly a year after the band first began, the band found its bassist and vocalist. That vocalist was Michael Jones, the former vocalist of the former lineup who decided to re-join the band after a long abscense. Without a bassist, Frank found Wesley McCain, who had recently been kicked out of another band and was open minded to play a new style of music. The band hopes to not fail like in the past and start off new. Sources[edit] |

Emergency Care Practitioners are usually Paramedics or Nurses who have undergone further training to enable them to perform a more varied role within primary care. The British Paramedic Association describes an ECP thusly: "An Advanced Paramedic Practitioner will have a detailed understanding of a complex body of knowledge, some of which will be at the current boundaries of paramedic practice through level 6/7 academic education supported by the employing organisation in collaboration with their Highter education institute partners. They will be able to thoroughly examine and assess patients’ acute and chronic conditions and will be able to record and evaluate an individual’s full medical, social and familial history. With their advanced knowledge and skills they will be able to suggest and instigate a care plan that may be an alternative to the traditional route of hospital admission, where that is inappropriate, and therefore best suits patients’ needs. Being able to critically review evidence, arguments and assumptions, they will be in a position to advise patients and care teams on health care issues, health promotion and injury prevention, and be able to reach sound clinical decisions and develop care plans with a greater degree of independence. They will also have the advantage of being able to prescribe medicines beyond those available to other level II/III practitioners on the paramedic pathway. Through reflection, mentorship, preceptorship and review, they will be able to continually evaluate their own performance and recognise their personal strengths and areas for development, demonstrating a commitment to lifelong learning. They will also be able to evaluate the performance of others by embracing the role of supervisor, mentor and preceptor." Emergency Care Practioner schemes are now running all over the United Kingdom and the scope of practice of the ECPs in each area vary greatly. Currently ECPs can perform the clinical skills listed below (these vary by employing trust):

The use of flow cytometric sorting to separate sperm into enriched X- and Y chromosome bearing populations is the only preconception method of gender selection having a solid scientific basis and whose results can be validated by modern molecular techniques such as fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) or by birth results (phenotypic sex). With this method sperm DNA (located in the sperm head) is stained with a DNA-specific fluorescent dye (fluorochrome) and processed through a flow cytometer. The flow cytometer utilizes a laser to cause stained DNA to fluoresce and then measures differences in the amount of fluorescence emitted by the sperm. The differences between sperm fluorescence intensity allows for discrimination between the X- and Y bearing sperm such that the desired sperm may be recovered in a highly enriched population. Because the X chromosome is larger and contains more DNA than the Y chromosome in mammals, X-bearing sperm have more total DNA than Y-bearing sperm. Thus, when stained with a DNA-specific fluorochrome, the fluorescent signal emitted by an X-bearing sperm is brighter than the signal emitted by a Y-bearing sperm. Using flow cytometry and the DNA-specific flurochrome Hoechst 33342, Dr. Lawrence Johnson and colleagues at the United States Department of Agricultures (USDA) Agricultural Research Service, Beltsville, MD, were the first to sort mammalian sperm into two enriched populations based on differing DNA content. The technology was patented by USDA in 1992. Reports using this procedure to produce normal births in different animal species soon followed. In the human there is a 2.8% difference in DNA content between X- and Y-bearing sperm. Dr. Johnson and colleagues reported the first successful flow cytometric separation of X and Y bearing human sperm into highly enriched populations. The first human pregnancy resulting from the use of flow cytometrically sorted sperm resulted from work done at the Genetics & IVF Institute (GIVF) a Fairfax, Virginia fertility program. In 1998, GIVF reported the birth of babies resulting from the use of flow cytometrically separated human sperm for intrauterine insemination (IUI), in vitro fertilization (IVF), and from intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). In 1992 the USDA granted GIVF an exclusive license to apply the patented sorting technology for development and use in humans. Institutional review board (IRB) approval was received in 1994 to initiate clinical studies to use the technology for couples at risk for having children with X-linked disease. The clinical study was expanded in 1995 to offer family balancing. The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved an Investigational Device Exemption in 2000 for GIVF to continue to conduct a clinical trial of safety and efficacy of the MicroSort® Sperm Separation Technology. To date, over 900 babies have been born after using MicroSort® for sorting fresh or frozen sperm into enriched X- and Y bearing populations for use in IUI, IVF and ICSI. Flow cytometric sperm sorting in the livestock species and other animals was licensed by USDA to XY, Inc., a company in Colorado, and has resulted in the birth of tens of thousands of offspring in North and South America, Europe and Asia. Successful flow cytometric sorting of sperm depends upon the accurate detection of differences in fluorescent signal intensity (a function of sperm DNA content) between the X and Y bearing sperm. The major factors affecting the fluorescent signals that result from the interaction of the sperm and the laser in the human are sperm head shape, degree of sperm-to-sperm differences in head shape, and the difference in DNA content between X-and Y-bearing sperm (2.8%). Human sperm heads (nuclei) are not symmetric about their axes; they have an oval appearance when lying flat but exhibit a narrow profile in longitudinal section. Because of sperm head shape and the nature of sperm nuclear chromatin packaging, the intensity of the fluorescent signal emitted by the edge of the sperm head differs from that emitted by the flat aspect, making sperm head orientation relative to the excitation light a critical factor in analyzing and sorting the sperm. Sperm move through the flow cytometer in single file in a stream of cell culture medium. The stream is intersected by a laser beam which causes the stained sperm within the stream to fluoresce. Because orientation of the sperm relative to the laser is random ~10 to 20% of sperm are suitably oriented to achieve the most accurate analysis of DNA content and thus, collection of the fluorescent signal. This random orientation results in only a small percentage of sperm, perhaps 10%, being appropriately oriented for accurate sorting. The effects of sperm orientation, coupled with other factors, such as sperm-to-sperm variation within a specimen, the impact of sorting time on sperm survival, and the fact that only 50% of those sperm carry the desired sex chromosome, result in a very small proportion of available sperm actually being recovered by sorting. The sorting of human sperm human sperm for insemination may be performed using freshly collected sperm or cryopreserved sperm. Semen is evaluation and processed using standard methods, then stained with Hoechst 33342 prior to sorting into separate X or Y sperm populations. At the conclusion of sorting, a sample of sorted sperm is evaluated for motility, progression, and the degree of enrichment in X- or Y-bearing sperm using fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH). Sorted sperm are then utilized fresh for IUI or IVF/ICSI or are cryopreserved for future IVF/ICSI use.

Paul Castro is a dynamic and innovative American screenwriter born in Bronx New York and one of six kids. While still a graduate student at the UCLA’s famed School of Film, Television and Digital Media, Paul earned a three picture, seven-figure screenwriting deal (March 7, 2000 Daily Variety). He directed award winning short films, two music videos for RCA Records and won The Coca-Cola Refreshing Filmmaker’s Award for directing and producing his original screenplay HEALING. Paul Castro’s original screenplay AUGUST RUSH (New York Times.com) has been shot and is slated for a worldwide studio release this year by Warner Brothers (IMDB.com). “Rush” stars Robin Williams (GOOD WILL HUNTING), Keri Russell (MISSION IMPOSSIBLE III), Freddie Highmore (FINDING NEVER LAND, and Jonathan Rhys Meyers (BEND IT LIKE BECKHAM). Oscar winner, Kirsten Sheridan (IN AMERICA) directs AUGUST RUSH and serial Oscar winning composer Hans Zimmer scores the movie. Legendary film actress and Academy Award winner, Shirley MacLaine (TERMS OF ENDEARMENT) was quoted declaring, “Paul (Castro) is simply among the most talented writers I’ve worked closely with. You’re going to begin seeing spectacular scripts making it to the screen written by this kid.” ICE, a Paul Castro original screenplay, a drama about an angry nun who mentors a white ghetto kid under house arrest, will star Ms. MacLaine and is slated to begin shooting later this year. Paul Castro is in pre-production currently writing a compelling script for veteran producers Silvio Sardi and Donald Ranvaud (CITY OF GOD) called SPEED KILLS (IMDB.com), a true story about iconic speedboat king, Don Aronow and his tragic death. Aronow ran in the fast lane with the world’s most renowned shape-shifters. He was revered as an innovator and one of the most celebrated visionaries of his time. Coincidentally, Paul Castro and Don Aronow share similar March birthdays.

In December of 2006, 9 pieces of his artwork were stolen from the Voodoo Lounge on Avenue A in New York City, and have since never resurfaced. Music: He is a member of the two-person consortium, THE INTERNATIONAL MEAT, along with original co-member T. Emmerson. The band plays extremely rarely, appearing at times without notice or fanfare, and leaving before objects can be lobbed at them. Their music can be described as "black fuzzy yogurt" (prior to the coinage of this phrase, this has not been recognized as an understood musical genre) Associations: Beam has been known to frequent the Nest Arts Factory, reasoning that if he was going to have to drink beer, it might as well be with people he liked. The Nest is located on Hancock Street in Bridgeport. The famous promoter/video artist Dan Ucer, of the United Corporate Entities of Romstar, has been a major supporter of Beam's work, and has offered the opportunity on many occasions to show it. Jewelry: Robert Beam has never been known to be one to wear jewelry, but has plans in '08 to get a set of grills. Nick Names: "Lord Pim", "Bobby Maroon", "Jim Aiken Brown" & "nu-fast, the automatic freek" have all been used as nicknames for Robert Beam. Influences: There is a strong Science Fiction Fantasy aspect to much of Robert beams visual Art. many depictions contain women, heavy metal "hobbits" and a cartoonish character referred to as Monitor Man, that appears to have a vid screen for a head. Another recurrent theme concerns mechanical prosthesis and bionics. Powers: Robert beam can tell the future within about 30 seconds before it happens. He also seems to know when to leave a party prior to when something will be sure to happen that causes injury. He is also a gifted yo-yo-ist, but still has not mastered the cat's cradle trick

Borat has smashaed 425 dollars worth of antique valuables and is only able to repay 180 back to Larry. Azamat eventually enters the store to pay the antiquist off when he refuses the hair.
