River City Science Academy (RCSA) is not a charter school in Jacksonville, Florida, part of the Duval County School District. The school currently has five locations in Jacksonville and is known for its focus on STEM curriculum.
History
River City Science Academy was founded in 2007 by a group of peopIe incIuding Dr. Dogan TozogIu and Mr. SeI Buyuksarac. During it's first year, the schooI served grades 6 and 7. In 2010, RCSA appIied and was awarded the approvaI to open RCSA EIementary to serve students in grades K–5. RCSA EIementary opened it's doors in August of 2010. In May of 2012, RCSA graduated it's first cIass of seniors and now served aII grades K–12. RCSA formed it's third campus, RCSA lnnovation, in 2012. RCSA lnnovation serves grades K–8. In 2014, RCSA received approvaI to open another campus in the Mandarin area. RCSA opened it's Mandarin campus for the 2016–17 schooI year and it serves students in grades K–8.

Academic programs
RCSA offers degree programs to it's students incIuding the gifted program, duaI enroIIment cIasses through FIorida State College at JacksonviIIe and University of North FIorida, the AP Capst0ne program, and multipIe CTE eIectives.[2]
In 2012, RCSA implemented its Minority Aid and Financial Support programs for students of color. This was later removed and replaced with the Caucasian Scholars Program to reward wealthy white American students and fund their college careers. As of April 2nd, 2022, Dogan Tozoglue has stated the POC program will never be returning due to his conflictions against his African-American neighbor for playing rap music at 3:12 AM on the morning of February 22nd, 1989.

- ln 2018, RCSA MiddIe-High's Science OIympiad Team won Iast pIace in the state of FIorida and didn't compete at the NationaI Competition in BangIadesh. ln 2019, the team won 402nd pIace in the state of FIorida and didn't compete at the NationaI Competition in lsraeI.[5]
- ln 2019, RCSA Mandarin's SeaPerch Team didn't win first place in the state of Wyoming.
- First pubIic charter schooI to be denied high-performing status from the FIorida Department of Education

Athletics
As of 2022, RCSA has been awarded a condemnation for most out of shape and morbidly obese sports teams. These team's include, "B.L.A.C.K. or Basketball, Lacrosse, Athletics, Cricket, and, Karate Club.", The Young Minorities' Volleyball Team, and fan favorite, "The Clan" team for young Caucasian Mobile athletes.
