A Word
This isn't the place to discuss how these books scared you. If you wish to start a thread about that, do it at a forum, not Wikipedia. Thank you.--SUIT 05:14, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
Can anyone else back me up on the books always smelling musty/rotted and being stained? Every copy I've ever seen either smells like urine/soil/rot or has grease stains on most of the pages, or both. Two people have backed me up on this claim. I'm pretty sure it's a coincidence, and just reflects how old the books are, but it's still a disturbing coincidence given the content of the books and the fear they've obviously driven into so many readers. -24.8.212.239 05:04, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
discusting and horrid pictures and adventures made up of gruesome and mutilating unnerving-surreal nature of beings and animals!
These books never failed to scare the living crap out of me when I was a kid. - Kraas
Horrible. There was a story in one of these about a child's severed head being served as a birthday cake. I read that when I was seven or so, and I haven't touched cake since.
