Photo caption
The photo of Foxx with Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig and Al Simmons... is the guy on the right Al Simmons or Mickey Cochrane? The caption here claims Simmons, but the actual photo file claims it's Cochrane. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 158.184.198.5 (talk) 21:35, 5 May 2015 (UTC)

Anybody have any idea of the lineup of the Irish squad? I'd love to know. Trekphiler 01:37, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
The article keeps on referring to Foxx signing with the A's, the Athletics didn't become the A's until they were under Charlie Finley's management in Kansas City jstjdawg august 19
- They're still officially the Athletics, not the A's. They have been referred with the nickname, "A's" ever since they were in Philadelphia. Best regardsTheBaron0530 (talk) 19:59, 10 June 2021 (UTC)

This said "In 1937, Foxx hit a ball into the third deck of the left-field stands at Yankee Stadium, a very rare feat because of the distance and the angle of the stands. Gomez was the pitcher who gave it up, and when asked how far it went, he said, "I don't know, but I do know it took somebody 45 minutes to go up there and get it back." I don't see this as possible. Both players played for the Athletics and Red Sox and neither ever played for the Yankees. The 1937 All Star Game was played in Washington, DC. The 1937 World Series was played between the Yankees and Giants, both teams never had Grove or Foxx on their roster. So how was Lefty Grove pitching to Jimmy Foxx in Yankee Stadium in 1937? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.89.185.10 (talk) 16:58, 24 March 2017 (UTC)
