JARCILLA

This is a long-term abuse case going back to September 2018. The first disruption was from Southern California IPs, with unreferenced stuff and genre-warring at the Chicago band article. The result was Special:Contributions/2606:6000:6602:AD00:0:0:0:0/64 getting blocked, along with Special:Contributions/76.171.112.116. Soon after the JARCILLA username was registered, a report was filed at ANI in December 2018: Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/IncidentArchive998#Chicago band genre warrior from Lakewood. The problem was genre-warring such as this, adding too many genres—all unreferenced. JARCILLA was indeffed and the associated IP range was blocked again for longer.

A year later, the username JoshuaArcilla2 was registered, immediately returning to the Chicago band article to edit-war over who was a current or past band member. JoshuaArcilla2 began to focus on Hillsong Worship topics in early 2020. In December 2020, the IP6 range Special:Contributions/2603:8000:9640:A7:0:0:0:0/64 joined in edit-warring at Hillsong Worship articles. After creating multiple articles about Hillsong Worship topics, many of which were deleted, JoshuaArcilla2 was indeffed in August 2021. The IP range Special:Contributions/2603:8000:9640:A7:0:0:0:0/64 had been edit-warring in concert with JoshuaArcilla2,[1][2] but it was not blocked. The involved IP6 range Special:Contributions/2605:E000:1524:CAF:0:0:0:0/64 was blocked for two years.

JoshuaArcilla3 registered the username a week ago. The new user with an obvious name connection continued the interest in Hillsong Worship topics, adding unreferenced genres to the Bella Taylor Smith biography.[3] They created a new song article, "Hope of the Ages", related to Hillsong Worship.

User JoshuaArcilla5 edits in the same manner and on the same topics as previously blocked users JoshuaArcilla2, JoshuaArcilla4, and JARCILLA. Compare edit by JoshuaArcilla5 (https://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=Chicago_XXXVIII&diff=1082189831&oldid=1082188276) with edit by JoshArcilla2 (https://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=Chicago_XXXVI:_Now&diff=prev&oldid=976655212) AbleGus (talk) 05:27, 17 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Obvious username connection to blocked socks JoshuaArcilla2, JoshuaArcilla3, JoshuaArcilla4 and JoshuaArcilla5. JoshuaArcilla6 went immediately to the Chicago band page which is a frequent target of interest. Southern California IP 207.233.69.118 edited frequent targets Hillsong Worship, Chicago (band) and added a redlinked Australian band called Able.[4] The same Able band entry was re-added by JoshuaArcilla5[5] and then tweaked by JoshuaArcilla6.[6]

Checkuser unnecessary because the case is obvious. Binksternet (talk) 17:14, 9 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
