Evan Arnold is an American actor who has played Richie Flanscopper on Growing Pains, Gavin Doosler on Just the Ten of Us, Ned Carlson on The West Wing, Jeffrey Ambor on Close to Home,[1] Chef Alan on Suburgatory,[2] Dr. Ditmer on Masters of Sex,[3] and David Hillier in L.A. Noire.[citation needed] He also gained attention for the brief role of Leonard in the series finale of Mad Men.[4]

Arnold is married with two children.[5] His father was Newt Arnold who won a Directors Guild of America Award for his work as assistant director on The Godfather Part II.[6] His mother Judy Arnold was a theatrical producer.[7] He has been a friend of Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti since junior high and is godfather to the mayor's daughter.[8]

Evan Arnold is best known for his moving performance in the "Mad Men" season finale. Others may know him from his earlier recurring role in the hit sitcom "Growing Pains". His father, the accomplished director Newt Arnold, peaked Evans Interest in the film industry from a young age. Evan notes that his fathers assistant director role in "The Goonies" is when he really started to get interested in an acting career. This would propel the young Evan Arnold to pursue his curiosity which would later lead into a successful full career of various commercials, TV shows, and movies. Evan is known to act with incredibly moving emotional control. Off the set Evan is known as a good hearted comedic man.

Arnold is the father of an extremely charming and attractive son who acts as well and a daughter who is pursuing her passions in musical theater. Evans fierce wife AnnaLea has run multiple non-profit organizations to even the gender biased playing field for women in the film industry. His sons friends are noted to adore Evan as they find him "cool" and "wildly funny". Daniel "Señor" Mittleman, one of Evans biggest fans and prestigious film critic notes, "After my seizure and epileptic diagnosis I launched into a deep dark depression with seemingly no way out. However, upon witnessing Evans flawless display of comedic relief in the live action 'Garfield' film in the role of Wendell, I seemingly laughed my depression away. Give this man an Oscar".
