Newbury Park, London

Template:Infobox London place Newbury Park is an area of London, England, situated in the London Borough of Redbridge east of Gants Hill. The main road is the Eastern Avenue (A12). The main landmark in this town is the station which won a prize for architecture in 1951.

At one time, it had two hospitals: the King George V and Ilford Maternity Hospital. They have both been demolished and replaced by blocks of flats, while a new hospital called King George V has been built further east in Little Heath.

The area has three synagogues: a constituent of the United Synagogue (orthodox), the Ohel David (in the tube station) for oriental Jews and the South West Essex Reform Jewish synagogue. The first of these originally met in the tube station before the Ohel David, and it has a green arching roof that echoes that of the station bus shelter. A fourth synagogue, the Barkingside Progressive Synagogue, is — despite its name — arguably also in Newbury Park.

A number of schools are in and around Newbury Park. These include Newbury Park Primary School, William Torbitt Primary School and Oaks Park High School, opened in 2001. This fine area is also home to the Newbury Park Station Rangers currently sitting forth in the LFA league. With captain David Wylde and star player Chris Hampton being the central spine to this team.

The name means "Park at the New Manor"; Newbury was first recorded in 1348.
