Kathryn Nageotte (/nəˈʒɒt/ nə-ZHOT;[1] born June 13, 1991) is an American athlete, specializing in pole vaulting.[2][3] She won the gold medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Women's pole vault.[4] Nageotte signed with Nike in 2018.[5]

Early athletic career

Nageotte's career started at Ashland University where she won two NCAA Division II national championships.[6]

Prep

Katie Nageotte graduated from Olmsted Falls HS with a state record[20] 3.97 m (13 ft 0 in) in the pole vault. She was also the 2008 Division 1 state runner and the 2009 Division 1 state champion.
