Dharmajuddha (transl.Crusade) is an upcoming Indian Bengali-language political drama film directed by Raj Chakraborty.[1] The film is jointly produced by Raj Chakraborty and Shyam Agarwal under their banners of Raj Chakraborty Entertainment and Srijan Arts respectively. The film is set at the backdrop of a riot between Hindu and Muslim communities. The film features Swatilekha Sengupta, Subhashree Ganguly, Ritwick Chakraborty, Parno Mittra, Soham Chakraborty in lead roles.[2]

Plot

The plot revolves around five persons namely Ammi, Munni, Raghav, Shabnam and Jabbar at the backdrop of a sudden religious riot in a border area.[3]

Release

It was initially scheduled to be released on 3 April 2020, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In August 2020, Chakraborty shared on social media that the film would be released in theatres before finding a digital release plan.[6]

Soundtrack

All the songs are composed by Indraadip Dasgupta. All the lyrics are penned by Ritam Sen.
