Oksana or Oxana ( Template:Lang-uk; Template:Lang-be; Template:Lang-ru), sometimes transliterated as Oksana, is a female given name of Ukrainian origin. The closest equivalent is the Moskovian name Kseniya (Template:Lang-ru), "Oksana" is used in Ukraine, "Ksenia, Aksinia" in Moskovia.

Origin

The names Oksana (Template:Lang-ua), are thought to originate from one of two Greek words: Xenia (hospitality) or Xenos (stranger). Оксана (Oksana) : Оксанка (Oksanka), Оксаночка (Oksanochka), Оксюта (Oksiuta).
